I'm confused about the best way for seo to set up the site structure . i understand the examples of the pyramid diagrams and how link juice flows, however does this mean that global navigation is not good? It appears the pyramid structure leads to the designated number of category pages (we'll use five) and they lead to the 5 content pages etc and some "superman pages" can be linked to from the home page but is this is global navigation or anchor text navigation and is gloval navigation acdeptable for content pages? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There are numerous approaches to the best SEO site structure. Some sites use a silo structure while others use a pyramid structure. A few basics:

user's should ideally be able to reach any page on your site within a maximum of 4 clicks from the home page. The fewer clicks the better.

your top content should ideally be available within 1 click of your home page. You can define your top content as your money page, the most popular pages, the newest pages, or as you deem fit.

internal linking is highly recommended. It allows users to drill down and locate relevant information when desired. Internal linking also provides more links to your most popular topics.
Global navigation is fine, but you do not want to overdo it. If you have a 100 page site, you don't want to provide navigation with 100 links. Some pages are more important, while other pages are less important. The most important pages should be easily reachable.

Planning to update my Volusion site to HTTPS protocol. Concerns.
I'm planning to update my Volusion Commerce site to https protocol. A config variable switch will config urls to become secure https urls. I'm looking into what additional steps I must take and issues that I may run into. I guess any relative links within my site will not be affected but how about incoming backlinks. How do I address this. Also concerned about previous redirects. Do I have to create a new xml file incorporating the new protocol in the target and a version of both secure and insecure source urls. I figure a new sitemap has to be submitted to Google Search Console - should there be a secure https://www.example version as well as a https://example version of site and older similar http versions submitted. Random /feed 404 error from a wordpress site
My Moz Analytics report shows a 404 error on a page which I think should not exist at all. The URL is http://henryplumbingco.com/portfolio-item/butler-elementary/feed/. When I checked webmaster tools, it looks like there are a number of random /feed urls throwing 404 errors. I am using WordPress and the Enfold theme. Anyone know how to get rid of these errors? Should I "No Index" Certain Pages On My Site?
I have some pages on my site that don't really have any content other than some iframes that are embedded from another site. I thought it would be best to tag the page with a no-index so that search engines would leave the page alone since it has no content as far as the search engine can tell (but does provide value to my site visitors). Is this the proper approach or does it do more harm than good?
