Domain Suggestion Tool?
-
Does anyone know of a good domain suggestion tool? I've tried some of them, but wasn't happy with the results.
I'd basically like to put in some key words, and get some suggetions.
Thanks.

Have you tried any of these? http://www.searchenginejournal.com/top-tools-for-domain-name-brainstorming/7208/
In my experience the best domain suggestion tool is a group of people brainstorming in a room. Start off by writing everything down, however stupid it seems, as it might lead to something you like, and then run through and eliminate everything unsuitable later. I use thesaurus tools such as those in word processing software, and online.
There are some important things to consider here: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifehack/how-to-choose-a-domain-name.html - and I just saw this while I was there: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/technology/how-to-brainstorm-domain-names.html

Agreed. Build a potential list in Excel, and use a free source tool to plug various one's in to hopefully find somethat that works.
I would do the market and keyword research first for whatever you are trying to buy/build, to ensure you get the best possible mix for domain name to keyword relevancy
Other than that, any domain tool with most companies will work in order to spit back variations, or substitutes if certain ones are not available.
Cheers!

I always refer back to a post from 2006 that you can find here: http://www.dailyblogtips.com/200-prefixes-and-suffixes-for-domain-names/
It has a long list of common domain prefixes, suffixes, and other add-ons that can be used to modify a keyword.
I'll take a large list of those in excel, pump them into a bulk domain lookup tool like the one on namecheap.com, and see what comes out.
I've never found an actual suggestion tool that was any good, most are junk.

Rank checking tool for keyword analysis
We are looking for an ideally free suitable rank checking tool to perform a keyword analysis. Previously we used Firefox Rank Checker but currently this is not working effectively as it once did. We use Authority Labs as a paid tool to track rankings but this is a rank tracking platform and not so effective for a once-off rank check to perform a keyword analysis. Any thoughts, help or ideas here would be super appreciated!

Creating a Domain Specific Keyword Difficulty Score
Moz's Keyword Difficulty tool is great. Minus one thing... it does't take the domain itself into it's equation. Of course it doesn't take a lot of other things into consideration too like relevancy of domain but lets at least start with adding domain authority to the equation. I've come up with simple math that allows you to take the domain authority of the target URL into consideration. The Equation KD = Moz Keyword Difficulty
Keyword Research | | eyeflow
DA = Domain Authority
DS = Domain Specific Keyword Difficulty (KD/DA)*KD = DS Equation Applied URL: atari.com
Keyword: classic video games
KD: 69
DA: 77
DS: 62 (69/77)*69=62 You will end up with numbers larger than 100, but it makes sense. If your domain authority is 10 and you're trying to compete with a difficulty of 90 then you should be scared to compete for that term and the number should reflect that. Thoughts? Other ideas?2 -
What tools can show me seasonal peaks in search volume?
HI, I am wanting to see when search volume "peaks" for specific keywords. Is there a good way to view search volume over an historical timeline? See the best month, weeks? Thanks! Kevin

Why does this keyword have much greater volume in Bing Keyword Research Tool than Google AdWords Keyword Planner?
I'm using the Google AdWords keyword planner and Bing Webmaster Keyword Research tool. For both, I'm trying to get accurate search volume for the exact term "advertising sales". Over the last thirty days, Bing reports a volume of 5,988. Google's average monthly search volume is 880. Given the market share Google has, I would expect a much higher volume, especially when compared to Bing. Can you offer some ideas of why this might be happening?

Google Keyword Tool: What is considered a unique keyword?
I'm trying to research keywords using Google's Keyword Tool. After looking at results, I have the following questions: 1. Does singular/plurals of a word count as two different keywords to Google (ie: photobooth and photobooths)? Would I need to have a unique page targeting each word or will one page on my site be sufficient for targeting both? 2. I've noticed that different variations of keywords have the same global monthly search results. This leads me to believe that Google see's all of them as one keyword. ie: "photo booth props" and "props for a photo booth" and "props with photo booth", all have 22,200 search global monthly search resluts. On the other hand "moustache prop" and "prop moustache" have different global monthly search results (480 and 590). Can anyone explain this?

Keyword Analysis Tool
Can someone please enlighten me on the Keyword Analysis tool Matrix. Does Domain Linking refer to the number of links back to that domain as a whole? Also why is it that a page with a lower page ranking can be way ahead of one with a domain ranking that is way higher or vice-a -versa? What is a good number to go after? what is actually attainable? Thanks

Domain Name - Which is better?
I had a friend of mine ask me this question and I didn't really know how to go about answering. He wants to know if, for example, www.cardealer.net is better than www.car-dealer.com or vice-versa? Both seem to be interchangeable to me. I hate websites with dashes in them but obviously it is necessary in some cases... ".net" is not my favorite either. What would you recommend?
