Does anybody have any contacts over at the Yahoo! Directory? I'm trying to edit information on a very old listing and they username and password info that I was given does not exist.

I've tried filling out the online contact form but I have not received a response back.

I didn't realize that Bing was also now in control of the Directory.

As I know yahoo catalogue were moved to Bing, and all your information should be there: http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster

No links from Pinterest, wordpress, yahoo, etc.

I'm new to moz and trying to go through some of the tools. I was looking at the link analysis and I had a couple questions I don't see any links from good sites that do show up in my webmaster tools - wordpress, yahoo, pinterest. Just a bunch of spammy sites that I've been trying to shake off for years now and even though we've completely redesigned the entire site they're still there. I have 21 links from my own domain. How do I fix that?

Link from a directory

Hi, im submitting a clients website to some directories. They are a dental practice and I'm adding them to this website http://goo.gl/Tvyabd Once i added the business to its directory it asked me to add a link (in so many words) back to its website from my clients website. Is this ok to do or is it seen as spam? Im confused about this as sometimes directories are free and sometimes they ask for a fee for it to be fast tracked to put it on the website. I always check the Domain authority of the websites and make sure they are relevant to the industry that I'm working in but again not sure if this would be seen as "paying" for links. Thanks Ade

Hello Mozzers! Like most, we have greatly reduced the number of paid directories in which we enroll our clients. We do, however, still utilize a few. Do the bots crawl the top of the page first - directory listing question

Hi all, I've purchased a link from a good PR4 website, but they added my link to the bottom of a lengthy page. They offered to up-sell me to get to the top of the page, where I'll be 10 or 12 links down. One of my direct competitors is at the top, so I'm happy with the directory choice (they spank me in rankings). The only reason I'm on this directory is to purely capture link juice. So knowing all of that, my question is, should I go ahead and pay to be on the top, assuming that Google bots crawl a page from the top down? It's important to me for the bot to log this link quickly. Or is paying to be at the top pointless, because the bot will just as quickly crawl to the bottom of the page and pick up the link anyway? Directory Listing Quality

Have any of you ever purchased a directory listing with Absolute Directory (http:www.absolutedirectory.com)? I was thinking about suggesting it to some of my clients since it was inexpensive, had a good domain authority (58), moz trust (5.81), and didn't seem to be filled with any ads or obtrusive content. Any thoughts? Is this to good to be true? Regards - Kyle
