Diane,
That was a nice bit of assistance from Ennovation so I thumbed it up.
One note here is that for some reason, someone has made all of this too difficult for you with your CMS. We use Joomla, our clients do not have these problems. (We have one client with 6 Joomla sites who can hardly turn on his computer) Somehow you are having to deal with code when you should not be.
Even if today you decided to put in a new logo image, change page titles, create new meta descriptions and change content, you should be able to do that without the need for the developer.
As it is, you are on Joomla 1.5 when 1.7 is out. You are using a program that cleans up urls when 1.6 took care of any issues. You are a publisher and you should be worried about publishing. Even in my firm, my people stay after me to do what I do - no, not SEO which is what got me here - clients and strategy which is what builds a company. I only do SEO about half as much as I did even a year ago. Publishers publish.
Talk with your developer and find out why you are having so many issues. If you cannot get it worked out in a few days (yes, I am serious), find a different developer. There are a lot of good developers on SEOmoz that actually reside in the U.K. (remember they do talk a bit funny). Read the ones that sound great and PM them. Engage a quality developer and make life simpler for you.
Yes, if you like learning SEO, hang around with us and learn, but simplify first. All the best,

many thanks for this. i will have to research and find out how to solve this. just looked into my cpanel so i will have to get some advice from the developer on removing this.

<h1 class="logo">
<a href="/index.php" title="">a>
h1><h1 style="text-align: center;"> <span style="font-size: 8pt; color: #ffffff;"> In2town Lifestyle Magazinespan> h1>
So you have the logo wrapped in h1

Mobile site backlinks?
Hello, Our mobile site redirects to desktop in a desktop browser and vice versa; however, they are different sites. This said, shouldn't the backlinks for our mobile site be the same as for our desktop site since one redirects to the other. We show no backlinks in my analysis? Any help or insight would be extremely appreciated! Thank you!

Duplicate content problem
Hi there, I have a couple of related questions about the crawl report finding duplicate content: We have a number of pages that feature mostly media - just a picture or just a slideshow - with very little text. These pages are rarely viewed and they are identified as duplicate content even though the pages are indeed unique to the user. Does anyone have an opinion about whether or not we'd be better off to just remove them since we do not have the time to add enough text at this point to make them unique to the bots? The other question is we have a redirect for any 404 on our site that follows the pattern immigroup.com/news/* - the redirect merely sends the user back to immigroup.com/news. However, Moz's crawl seems to be reading this as duplicate content as well. I'm not sure why that is, but is there anything we can do about this? These pages do not exist, they just come from someone typing in the wrong url or from someone clicking on a bad link. But we want the traffic - after all the users are landing on a page that has a lot of content. Any help would be great! Thanks very much! George

Redirecting a old aged site to a new exact match site?
Hi All, I have a question. I have 2 sites with me in the same sector and want some help. site 1 is a old site started back in 2003 and has some amount of links to it and has a pr 3 with some good links to it but doesn't rank much for any keywords for the timing. site 2 is a aged domain but newly developed with unique content and has a good amount of exact match with a .com version. so will there be any benefit by redirecting site 1 to site 2 to get the seo benefits and a start for link bulding? or is it best to develop and work on each site? the sector is health insurance. Thanks

Should I create mini-sites with keyword rich domain names pointing to my main site?
Hi, I'm new to seomoz (and seo in general) and loving it so far. My main domain name is more of a brandname than a search engine friendly list of keywords. I rank well for some keywords I optimized for, and less so for the more competitive keywords. I was wondering if making one page minisites hosted on keyword rich domain names could help in this respect? What I want to do is just have a single page with a few paragraphs of content and links to the main site. I am not looking for links to boost the main site, just for the minisites to do better for several keywords. Will this help? Is this ok, or against some Google policy? Can this hurt the main site rankings? Thank you! **Edit: **I noticed that sites ranking above me on the first page for some keywords have much less on-page elements than my page, have about the same domain trust and also very little inbound links. The only factor I can see is the exact match of keywords in the domain name.

Impact of 401s on Site Rankings
Will having 401s on a site negatively impact rankings? (e.g. 401s thrown from a social media sharing icon)
