Correlation between Page Rank of the Home Page and Internal Pages?
-
I have noticed that Domains with high page rank for their home page also tend to have high page rank for their Internal Pages irrespective of the Quality of the Internal Pages
Is there any direct correlation between the "Page Rank of the Home Page" and "Page Rank of the Internal Pages" and, if Yes, then to what extent?

Karan,
I would suggest that you may want to go back and take a look as if you believed it were just the opposite. When you see it as though there is no effect on inner page value does the change in perspective change what you see?
When you think about it, a highly ranked Home Page can be the result of popularity and strong content throughout a site. Such that, the content and popularity cause more people to go to that home page (an easy first thought is media like CNN.com). Because I know they have some news I like, I go to their home page first and most people will bookmark that page. By virtue of that, when I get there, I go to other pages on the site. (Note, some of these will have PR=1)
Now, if we take a look at a site that gets tons of pub when a business first opens or has a new offering and the home page is the target url, you will often see lots of lower ranked pages behind it. I have seen this a lot when a company is in a competitive space trying to catch up in some way and they do a big spend to drive traffic. They get an increase in Home PR, but as people go into the site they leave due to poor development, navigation issues, not what they were looking for, etc. The result is less internal pages with backlinks and/or traffic and subsequent lower rank.
If you look at mozRank which is a corollary to the SE algorithms, it shows this better IMHO. Such that, you will see Domains that rank highly (often because of history/longevity of domain causing more links, traffic to home page) along with Pages that out rank the home page, because they are getting more traffic/links, etc. than home page sometimes because site is newer and the traffic was developed to a specific product or service as opposed to the home page.
What one has to be careful of is that if you are trying to increase your page rank of your home page in order to affect the PR of the inner pages, are you losing valuable commercial traffic in the interim by not instead taking care of the money making pages? If you take care of them, the home page will gain naturally from the traffic due to human behavior like bookmarking, remembering the domain name url as opposed to the inner due to ease of shorter url, etc.
So, I can see how you would arrive at that assumption; however, I would recheck the premise.
Best to you on a great question.

Does no-indexed page has an impact on bounce rate
my question is: I have a page that contains some external links, I know when visitors click on them and leave my site it hurts my bounce rate, But I have a solution for that, I am using external link redirection code, with this code after users clicking on external links they are not leaving my site and first went to some link like this: "http://mysite.com/redirect/https://externalsite.com/" and after 10 seconds they redirect to the external site, I make this redirect page noindex and nofollow. but the question is does this noindex page can decrease my page bounce rate because users don't leave my site and first go to another page of my site. but I don't know does no-indexed page has an impact on bounce rate or my struggle is worthless

Do affiliate links to Amazon product pages boost those pages in the SERPs?
From casual observation, I believe that affiliate links to Amazon product pages, move those Amazon pages up in the SERPs. Does anyone else have an opinion on this? Philosophically, I think that affiliate links should not be counted in the rankings, even if they have not been nofollowed. I think that Google and other search engines should be filtering these links because they are compensated. Thanks for your thoughts.

Internal Linking Questions
Hello, here are my questions. 1:Should I be internal linking back to my home page from every subpage or lower page on my site. Or, is that going overboard? 2: If i'm internal linking back to a page with an anchor text that has no relation to the page, will that pass less relevance? So for example lets say the current page is about mazda cars. Then, I link to a page about ford cars with the anchor text Mazda cars that would pass less relevance, right? Thanks for your help

Partnerships web pages and optimization- dangers and solutions?
My boss is in the process of building lot of new partnerships. The goal is to increase the number of mutual referrals. These are businesses that are not in the same industry, but have the same clients, so there is no competition. He wants a separate Partners category, landing page and a subpage for each partner. On each partner page, he wants a link pointing back to the partner company, along with some information about that particular business. In exchange, our partners would do the same- have a page dedicated to us with information and a link to our website.

By the way, this is not an affiliate program, just referral exchange program. I am worried about appearing like a link farm. Should I be?
From what I see, most partners of other companies are all listed on one page. My boss says others do this without any problems, but he is not an SEO person. What are the dangers of doing it the way my boss wants?
What is the safest way to list business partners on our website while trying to accomplish what I have been asked (or as closely as possible)? No follow links, maybe? What about the metas and titles? NoIndex/NoFollow pages? (my boss wants these pages to be indexed). Your input is greatly appreciated.0 -
Link Location: In main page or inner "Link" page?
My question is what´s best of Link Building: have it in main page or in internal Link Pages. I have the problem that have to reduce the number of outgoing links in my mainpage to rank better, but do not want to miss any linkjuice. How Linking in Main Page or Internal Pages affects SERP for your website? And should they be Follow or not Follow? Thanks in advance Maria Jesus

Can You Rank Without Backlinking?
With all the new emphasis on on-page metrics and social metrics, would it be possible to rank well without putting much emphasis on backlinking if your content is significantly better than the rest of the ranking pages? Say #1 to #5 are pages of 500 word generic content. We come in with 2,000 word specific, high-quality content. Can we get by without spending as much time/energy on backlinking? Would the on-page factors make up for it, or has the game not changed that much?

List of High Ranking Directories
Hi, Does anyone have a list of high ranking free or almost free directories that have high search engine rankings and have an opportunity for a link or links for a personal development site in the USA? The directories should have the following qualities: Old Site Age A lot of unique content (or as much as a directory can have) A clean site Plenty of Backlinks going to it Facebook followers (if possible, though this might be stretching it) high search engine rankings I think you get the general idea. I'm looking for directories that are high ranking and in for the long haul. They don't have to be free, but it's best if it's inexpensive. Thanks!
