Tweetmeme vs Twitter Button
-
So I am curious as to what benefits to each of these plugins would outweigh one or the other.
I began using the Tweetmeme plugin for our main blog because it offered the option to use our own bit.ly pro short code. +1 for branding. Plus I think there is some value in having your site and link on tweetmeme, but I overheard that Twitter's own Tweet Button for blogs offers better SEO than the Tweetmeme for blogs.
I am out of my area of expertise. Any thoughts?

Thanks. That's is a good reason to use the tweet button. Checking out the article now.

Hi Thomas! That's a great question. Rae Hoffman actually wrote a really excellent post recently talking about she swtiched from the TweetMeme button vs the official Twitter one. I highly recommend checking it out: Why I Switched from TweetMeme to the Official “Tweet Button”.
The feature I like best is that you can set up the official twitter button to recommend Twitter accounts!
Hope this helps,
Jen

Blog.site.com vs site.com/blog
Which is better for SEO: blog.site.com or site.com/blog. In other words, is it better to have the blog running in a subdomain or as a director within the main site? Right now we are running as a subdomain, but want to be sure Google isn't considering that a separate site. The blog shows up separately on Google Analytics, which makes me think site.com/blog is better if for no other reason, it would give our domain greater traffic. Not sure if this matters, but some site info: our site is a sharing economy tool for renting your stuff we are running the blog on Wordpress blog traffic is about 5% of total traffic

Starting a Blog. New Domain vs integrated in a shop domain?
Hi everybody, We are going to start a blog for posting about topics related to our online shop and its products. Our question is... what is better in terms of SEO.... Creating it in a new domain and linking to our online store when neccessary, or integrating it in our actual online shop and take advantage of our visitors? Thank you very much in advance! Rel=publisher vs G+ badge without
I've read that I should only have a rel="publisher" once on my site (on the home page) in a link that points back to the corporate G+ page. Cool. But, if I want to have a link to the corporate G+ page in the footer of every other page on the site then I assume it's okay as long as I omit the rel="publisher" part, correct? Second question: For blog postings, I assume it's good to include a rel="author" tag in the link to the author's G+ page, right? Even though there is a link to the corporate G+ page in the footer of the same page.

Sub Domain vs New Domain
I have an existing blog separate from my main e-commerce site. (mainsite.com). Is there any advantage at all in moving the blog to a sub domain like blog.mainsite? I know putting it in a sub_folder_ is best. I don't want to do that because of security concerns. Handcrafter

Crawl error vs RSS feed content
Hi, I have a BuddyPress Multisite with sites dedicated to specific RSS feeds. I did this to pull in the content for my users. But they generate a 1000s of SEMOZ errors/warnings for dup content, dup titles, missing metatags. etc. So does keeping the content help my site SEO less than the errors? The content is not under my control so I have no way to relate it to my keywords. Any opinions? I can recreate these RSS sites, so I will probably delete them to see what happens. Larry
