Blog Subscribers Count Tool
-
So, I have about 100 different blogs that I am starting to organize into a list of potential guest blog opportunities. I wanted to see how many subscribers each blog had to their site to better help identify the top influential blogs. The only way I know how to do this is to search for the site inside of Google reader. I was wondering if anybody knows of a tool or knows a way to scrape the blog subscriber count from Google docs, or something more scalable.
Thanks,
Jason

This post I found on the web may offer a solution for you. At the very least, it seems like you wouldn't have to go into Google Reader. But it looks like you still need to input the name of the Feedburner feed somehow.

Should i get witty with folder name of Blog?
I understand the importance of keywords, but I also worry about the usability factor. Curious - anyone ever study about the impact of calling your WP folder "blog" vs "long-primarykeyword" Im thinking of something generic /blog

Client has blog and main site - current thoughts - how to consolidate?
So I have several clients who have been blogging for a few years on Blogger and self hosted WordPress. They also have their "main site" on a different URL. What is the current thinking on what to do with the content. The "main sites" could use a bit of a boost and I know the content would help so I know I can 3-1 redirect everything from the current blogs to a new home on the main site. What I am thinking is to move most of the posts to the main site with redirects, but leave a few posts around perhaps a theme (and maybe writing a few more) and leaving that property up and "open for business" so the links from it have some value to the main site, we can get G-plus author attribution on several sites in their topic of experience and maybe we can get some extra pages to rank in top 7. Does this seem like a reasonable strategy?

The right way for review count?
Hi, I have a question that kinda bothers me for a while now and would love to hear you guys thoughts on this matter. One of the categories in my websites is services reviews, for example:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Ouzan
http://www.websiteplanet.com/review/questionform/ Recently we upgraded the site and gave users the option to write their own review as well. Now as you can see, the way it works is that we write a very big and informative/professional review ourself and in addition we give users the option to write their own reviews and share their experience with the service. Now My question is:
There is the itemprop-review count thingy, now we did it so if 0 users wrote a review it will show 0 reviews on the count.
Is it correct? (Feel free to check the site code yourself)
Or is it wrong? because their is actually 1 review (our editors review) I hope I explained my self well...
If not, please let me know what is unclear. Thanks!0 -
URL errors in Google Webmaster Tool
Hi Within Google Webmaster Tool 'Crawl errors' report by clicking 'Not found' it shows 404 errors its found. By clicking any column headings and it will reorder them. One column is 'Priority' - do you think Google is telling me its ranked the errors in priority of needing a fix? There is no reference to this in the Webmaster tool help. Many thanks Nigel

Guest Blogging Tips
I'm just getting started in guest blogging, and had an idea I wanted to run past the SEOmoz community. I've been told that when guest blogging, it's only worthwhile to post one guest post per domain (if your intention is purely backlinks, which mine is). But I was wondering if it might be more effective to try and place a series of 4 or 5 related posts, and try to get the blog owner to link from one to the other (Click here for Part II of this series). Wouldn't all that internal linking give the pages with my bio links on them that much more authority?

Is blogging enough to keep my site fresh?
I know that one of the things Google looks for is fresh content. My main site is a wordpress site where I have optimized about 12 static pags and I also do blog posts. Assuming I continue to blog, do I need to give my pages a periodic "face lift" or is enough just to keep blogging and add a static page from time to time? Paul

Organising Blog categories for SEO and usability.
Hello! I'm a professional photographer and have used categories in an old blog to separate my work. (weddings, portraits, etc.) I'm starting an new blog and everything was imported, except categories so as i started rewriting them, I noticed the 'personalised URL. So I was thinking of re-writing my categories based on types of jobs and location. For example: *North Wales -wedding photography -portrait photography -commercial photography *Cheshire -wedding photography -portrait photography -commercial photography and so on... Or do you think it's best to just have shoot style categories? What do you guys think? Thanks!
