Home and index.html isted as duplicate page
-
Hello,
www.mountain-solutions.net and www.mountain-solutions.net/index.html are listed under an error for having a duplicate page. They are in fact the same page. I'm wondering how I can remedy this.
Thanks

Hi Ben,
Do you need any more advice on implementing this, or are you good?

Tompt has the poit it is recomended to use 301 redirection to avoid problems with canonical tag just make a search in discutions and you'll see some results abbout cannonical tags but if you are carefull it will work fine

We are using Canonical URL's to avoid the issue
-
Yes, this is a pretty common problem. You'll want to add a tag just before the area of your index.html file that looks like this:
rel="canonical" href="http://mountain-solutions.net" />
Or, if you want to focus on the www verson and not the non www version:
rel="canonical" href="http://www.mountain-solutions.net" />
-
It's also worth pointing out that www.mountain-solutions.net and mountain-solutions.net also resolve separately so may also be seen as duplicates (this is often referred to as a canonical error).
The process is exactly the same as Cocarcea Ion mentioned, just use a 301 redirection in your .htaccess file if you have access to it.
This site may well help: http://www.websitetodos.com/list/websitetodos/webserver/canonicalnameredirect/canonicalredirect-apache

use 301 httacces redirect, or cannonical tag

Magento Dynamic Pages Being Indexed
Hi there, I have about 50k Moz medium priority errors in my Crawl Diagnostic report. The bulk of them are classified as "Temporary Redirect" problems. Then if you drill into those further, I can see that the problem urls all kinda are center around: mysite.com/catalogsearch/result.. mysite.com/wishlist.. mysite.com/catalog.. Is this something I should disallow in my Robstxt file? And if so how specific do I get with it.. Disallow /catalogsearch/result/?q= Will listing the /catalogsearch be enough to cover anything after it? thanks

Tool recommendation for Page Depth?
I'd like to crawl our ecommerce site to see how deep (clicks from home page) pages are. I want to verify that every category, sub-category, and product detail page is within three clicks of the home page for googlebot. Suggestions? Thanks!

Crawl Diagnostics 403 on home page...
In the crawl diagnostics it says oursite.com/ has a 403. doesn't say what's causing it but mentions no robots.txt. There is a robots.txt and I see no problems. How can I find out more information about this error?

Duplicate content pages
Crawl Diagnostics Summary shows around 15,000 duplicate content errors for one of my projects, It shows the list of pages with how many duplicate pages are there for each page. But i dont have a way of seeing what are the duplicate page URLs for a specific page without clicking on each page link and checking them manually which is gonna take forever to sort. When i export the list as CSV, duplicate_page_content column doest show any data. Can anyone please advice on this please. Thanks <colgroup><col width="1096"></colgroup>

On-page Optimization Grade Change
I can see the grade change for my on-page optimization in the weekly email, however, when I load the summary page on only rank change shows, grade change is blank across the board. I also tried downloading and see the same results. Is this a bug on the website? Thanks!
