Hi there

Today I had the following question from a client

Why my pages are only listed with a title (but no snippet) in the search results. What could be the possible reason?

Can anyone help me to answer him?

Are the pages blocked from crawling at all? I've seen that happen when Google can't crawl a page, but knows of it because of a followed link from elsewhere.

Hi Nikos,

If you have implemented the Rich Snippets, tested them and submitted it, then it can take up to 1 month and a half or even more until the rich snippets start to show up in the search results.

If you didn't test your Rich snippets, go to your Google webmasters tools and there you will have the chance to test if you applied the snippets well.

Strange problem with basic html anchor tag linking to my domain

I have some old valuable followed links from high ranking domains and I noticed from moz reports they are reporting 404.Visually they looked fne but when I clicked on those they indeed were generating 404. When I researched further they are defined as My domain.com Notice there is extra space between "/" and the closing quote. It turns out it is sending "www.mydomain.com/ " to browsers. Any ideas How to solve this? If I should put a perm redirect in apache, how do I deal with these "%C2%A0" characters. It seems the issue is happening at more than one remote domain.

Domain Mapping - International Config - WP Multisite - Problems/issues experienced ?

Hi My new clients devs are setting up new client according to below domain mapping type config Is anyone aware of any probs this could cause ? or other way should be setting up ? Also will setting up an MA campaign for the root domain 'catch all' given the domain mapping aspect etc ? Cheers Dan Set up now using WP Multisite. The root domain for the network of websites we are going to roll out, is set up as "network.domain.com. This is a "parent" domain from which all languages variants will be children of this root domain name. so: "network.domain.com/uk/" - English Language
"network.domain.com/tr/" - Turkish Langauge
"network.domain.com/za/" - South African
etc I then will domain map domain names to each of these children, once I get DNS control of each language's settings. I have already mapped "www.domain.com" to "network.domain.com/uk/", so the english website is set up (and launched - as you know). I fully expect that "www.domain.tr" will be mapped to "network.domain.com/tr/" and so on, but depending on domain availability at the time of purchase. Any domain name can be mapped to each of these children, and the system doesn't care, or mind! I can also map one (or more) domain names to each child, and make ONE of them the primary domain name.

We have set up 301 redirects for pages from an old domain, but they aren't working and we are having duplicate content problems - Can you help?

We have several old domains. One is http://www.ccisound.com - Our "real" site is http://www.ccisolutions.com The 301 redirect from the old domain to the new domain works. However, the 301-redirects for interior pages, like: http://www.ccisolund.com/StoreFront/category/cd-duplicators do not work. This URL should redirect to http://www.ccisolutions.com/StoreFront/category/cd-duplicators but as you can see it does not. Our IT director supplied me with this code from the HT Access file in hopes that someone can help point us in the right direction and suggest how we might fix the problem: RewriteCond%{HTTP_HOST} ccisound.com$ [NC] RewriteRule^(.*)$ http://www.ccisolutions.com/$1 [R=301,L] Any ideas on why the 301 redirect isn't happening? Google description problem

Hi all, My website is www.ipbskinning.com I'm having a problem with how my site is appearing in google. I have this in the head of my website: <meta name='<a class="attribute-value">description</a>' content='<a class="attribute-value">Free and Custom IPB Skins for Invision Power Board.</a>'/> Yet when I google 'ipbskinning' it says: Solid Skins. 1We test all our skins in all browsers to insure that they are compatible. This ensures that your users have the best user experience. which is random text from the content of my site. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks a lot all

Whats the quickest way of diagnosing a canonical problem

Salut from from positivley tropical 10 degrees C wetherby UK 🙂 Ok here goes... on this site http://www.cedarcourthotels.co.uk/ there is a canonical problem but I'm interested to know if my method of spotting a canonical problem is the most efficient. In the case of Cedar Court I started with http://www.cedarcourthotels.co.uk/ then i entered this https://www.cedarcourthotels.co.uk/ and noted they were pointing to the same home page. My question is there a quicker way of diagnosing a canonical problem or is it a case of knowcking out w's and adding s etc. Thanks in advance, David

Different TLD's same content - duplicate content? - And a problem in foreign googles?

Hi, Operating from the Netherlands with customers troughout Europe we have for some countries the same content. In the netherlands and Belgium Dutch is spoken and in Germany and Switserland German is spoken. For these countries the same content is provided. Does Google see this as duplicate content? Problem with my site

the site is casino.pt we created the site 7-8 month ago, we started to push it by good and natural links (http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/www.casino.pt/a!links!!filter!all!!source!external!!target!page), links in sites with content rich and most of them related to gambling and sport topics. During the first 3-5 months, the rankings were better and better, after the 6 months, the site lose all its rankings.
