Can I tap into everyone's creativity for a meme?
-
About a week ago there was an awesome YouMoz post entitled How To Use Memes to Build EASY Backlinks & Traffic. I was so inspired by this post to come up with something awesome. I have been thinking long and hard about it ever since then, even browsing meme sites, and I'm coming up with NOTHING. Our company, stadriemblems.com designs and supplies custom embroidered patches for uniforms, events, and things of that nature.
I know that I know the niche the best, but I'm not good at funny. So maybe someone who's good at funny can come up with something without having to know all the ins and outs of the niche.
I'd so greatly appreciate some suggestions. I'll give everyone who tries a thumps-up, even if it's not good!

I know this isn't exactly what you're saying, but you indirectly gave me a good idea. I could find a good image and hold a contest to have our customers come up with a caption.

When you say "meme" I think of something organic such as a funny or slightly odd photo or image, which serves as a canvas upon which others paint their creativity. There's no telling how one bad cartoon became "Pin ALL the Things!" or pic of a guy with his hat turned to the side became "Scumbag Steve" or an insane wolf became this wild and crazy reused advice image, or socially awkward penguin.
Reading what you're describing, it looks more like you're interested in a tag line, or a campaign concept, or am I misreading?
If you want a funny organic image, I'd try and get rights to an image of a girl scout or boy scout with a hundred badges, or some nerdy fellow in a weird location with a hundred unrelated patches on his jacket, maybe foursquare badges. Then let the crowd come up with why it's funny.

It's much better than anything I came up with! I could actually use both on them, since one is from the standpoint of someone who needs them and one is from the opposite stand-point.That helps. Thanks!
It's something that will work great our our site. I'm looking for something for that and then something to spread all over the Internet, so I'm half way there!

Google won't index my website because "certain conditions" weren't met
I found the answer on this -- interestingly, I had changed registrars and they didn't pull over the DNS information correctly. This caused the above issues. Once I identified this, I updated the DNS correctly -- at registrar and server -- and things worked fine.

What's a good way to find recent blog posts about a given topic?
Let's say I want to find blog posts posted in the past week or so about "key west". These posts could be on a personal blog, travel blog, etc. Google News is mostly news sites (not blogs) and Google blog search doesn't work any more. What other good options are there? So far Open site Explorer Just Discovered is the best option I've found, but there is a lot of other stuff mixed in with a few blog posts.

Blog Content if Google has stated it doesn't like your blog?
Hi guys, In the new 'mobile usability' tab in Webmaster Tools, Google has stated that our blog isn't offering a good experience for users. Something we already knew and I want to change, but I can't get the budget approved to complete the work. I was just wondering if you think Google isn't going to hold my content very high as a result. I want to produce more content on our blog around our valuable keywords in hope to improve our rankings, but if Google isn't holding our site in high regard I'm thinking there may not be much point in it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Brian

How can I make a clickable header on Tumblr (with several links to click)
I would like to make a clickable header with several links to click, for example the possibility to click Facebook & Twitter icons to get redirected to my twitter and Facebook page. I know how to make the clickable image and get the html for it. But where in the HTML on tumblr should I insert it? Can I override the custom header with my HTML header somehow? Appreciate all the help I can get, Thanks.

Questions about reorganizing a website's content structure
I'm working with a publisher who is considering reorganizing the content on their site, which up to now has been presented more or less as a portal site for a variety of segments in a particular business industry. One scenario that is on the table is to remove some content sections altogether and republish them under their own unique domains. It's important to note that this reorganization would be part of a new brand strategy. So my first question is whether this is one of those avoid-at-all-costs scenarios? My second question is if we decide to procede, what kind of time could it take for these new domains to generate the same level of search traffic they are currently pulling in on the portal site? Thanks!

Title case or lower can URL folders
Is it best to have lower case URLs e.g mydomain.com/hotels-in-london/ or title case like mydomain.com/Hotels-In-London/ I noticed in the seomoz tools that it would report the above two URLs as duplicate if the site had two links using pointing to each URL
