Tutorial For Moving Blogger Blog From Sub-Domain to Sub-Directory

Does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for moving a blogger.com (blogspot) blog that's currently hosted on a subdomain (i.e. blog.mysite.com) to a subdirectory (i.e. mysite.com/blog) with the current version of blogger?

I'm working on transferring my blogger blogs over to wordpress, and to do so without losing link juice or traffic, this is one of the steps I have to take. There's plenty of tutorials that address moving from blogspot.mysite.com to wordpress and I've even found a few that address moving from blog.mysite.com (hosted on blogger) to a root domain mysite.com. However, I need to move from blog.mysite.com (blogger) to mysite.com/blog/ - subdirectory (wordpress).

Anyone who knows how to do this or can point me in the right direction?? Thanks.

hi there, For one of our insurance websites we acquired a domain, this domain is going to be redirected to our domain. After some research we discovered the domain we've bought also includes other domains which 301 redirect to specific 'insurance products'. These domains are also included in the deal. But what is the best technical solution for redirecting these specific redirected product domains? They already redirect to the product pages of the domain we've bought, so after redirect this domain, the sub (product) redirected domains will also link to us. It would be like this: A) www.sub-carinsurancesite.nl (301) -> www.domain-we-bought.com/car-insurance -> www.ourdomain.com/car-insurance

Blocking Test Pages Enmasse on Sub-domain

Hello, We have thousands of test pages on a sub-domain of our site. Unfortunately at some point, these pages were visible to search engines and got indexed. Subsequently, we made a change to the robots.txt file for the test sub-domain. Gradually, over a period of a few weeks, the impressions and clicks as reported by Google Webmaster Tools fell off for the test. sub-domain. We are not able to implement the no index tag in the head section of the pages given the limitations of our CMS. Would blocking off Google bot via the firewall enmasse for all the test pages have any negative consequences for the main domain that houses the real live content for our sites (which we would like to of course remain in the Google index). How to prevent duplicat content issue and indexing sub domain [ CDN sub domain]?

Hello! I wish to use CDN server to optimize my page loading time ( MaxCDN). I have to use a custom CDN sub domain to use these services. If I added a sub domain, then my blog has two URL (http://www.example.com and http://cdn.example.com) for the same content. I have more than 450 blog posts. I think it will cause duplicate content issues. In this situation, what is the best method (rel=canonical or no-indexing) to prevent duplicate content issue and prevent indexing sub domain? And take the optimum service of the CDN. Thanks!

Blog for a Prestashop: WP at subfolder or blog with dedicated keyword based domain?

Hi Scenario 1: site running with prestashop at domain whatever.com There's a blog at a subfolder of domain, running with Wordpress whatever.com/blog Scenario 2: site running with prestashop at whatever.com. The blog is at a different server and domain with keywords, e.g. cloudtechnology.com What's better for the blog posts to have better SERP results? Scenario 1 or 2? From the point of view of a user, I have seen for friends and colleagues that scenario 2 works for the blog, and might work for the shop, since blog posts contain links to shop etc. However, all examples I've seen for scenario 1 are still struggling...it's hard for them to make the blog visible at SERPs...is it a coincidence or is there a reason? Two blogs on the same domain

I have had two blogs on the same domain for a while now, and it just occurred to me that no one else seems to do this and maybe it's even weird. http://www.stadriemblems.com/blog/

Extra Sub Directory

Anything wrong with a URL structure like: www.mysite.com/process/widgets/red-widgets Where the DIR: /process/ is completely empty e.g. you get a 404 if you go to www.mysite.com/process/ and it has no content within. This URL structure was setup before they knew what SEO was...wondering if it's worth the pain the 301 and restructure new URLs or is it ok to leave as is?

Redirecting an Old Domain

One of my clients has a newish e-commerce website that was just redesigned. Part of this new marketing push is shutting down an old yahoo store. The problem is that this old store's domain has a 10 year old link in DMoz and is there fore in about 200 other directories. Is pointing that old domain at the new website going to be enough to keep all of that link juice flowing?
