Content placment best for SEO?

We currently have a scroll bar box at the bottom of our page with information in but from what I can see scroll bar boxes at the bottom of websites looking a little spammy (a lot of over optimized websites using them) would we be best in using a strategy like this site www.solopress.com/ which implement a show more link that drops information down would this be read as good information for Google or look just as spammy?

Lots of websites use a jquery tabbing system to show/hide information.

Most online shops have a "read more..."-link on their productspages that reveals the boring parts.
We use this on a few otherwise very text-lenghty pages. Google have not taken notice on the change, and text is still indexed nicely.

Would you consider this to be thin content
I always struggle with these pages I have on my site going back and forth debating what I want to do with them. On one side Google was content, yet at the same time its all about user experience. http://www.freescrabbledictionary.com/word-lists/words-that-start-with/letter/h/ I used to have all my words listed on one page which could have been well over 10,000. Now I pagination them as you can see. I debate writing a header of content for these pages, but honestly users just want the words. Get in, get what you need and get out. What is the recommendation on these pages. Should I write content? Should I not?

Many have stolen our content. Rewrite vs. DMCA content removal?
Hello, We own a medical tourism website and many other sites have stolen (copied and pasted) our content. Our content is more than 2 years old, so we thought we could rewrite the content - but Which is a more wiser decision from you guys' experience? Archive our current content at a different URL and upload a fresh content in the current URL Claim our originality to Google and ask the stolen sites to remove our content. Is there SEO benefit of automated content through Narrative Science or Automated Insights?
I'm considering working with a group like Narrative Science or Automated Insights to create content for 10k cities around the country. Each article they would create (3-5 per city) would be completely original, based on data we either own or license, written to our editorial tone, voice and direction, and consist of 300-500 words per page. If you are familiar with these groups, you'll know that it is not spun content or spammy crap that we know Google kills off in droves. It will be well written, accurate, articulate original content on topics like health, demographics, population growth, schools and education and weather pertaining to a city or metro area. My question - assuming the answer is actually known - is how well (or if) this content will perform in Google. It is a significant investment for my group (well into size figures) and we don't want to take this decision lightly. We are looking to challenge sites like city-data.org and bestplaces.net, who largely just regurgitate aggregated data.

Silo and content
I'm about to launch my site but I have a question regarding content and silo structure. If I don't have enough content to fill 4 subpages, could it be better to have only a content-keyword-rich landing page for a silo instead of multiple pages with poor content? Thank you!

Duplicate Content - Potential Issue.
Hello, here we go again, If I write an article somewhere, lets say Squidoo for instance, then post it to my blog on my website will google see this as duplicate content and probably credit Squidoo for it or is there soemthing I can do to prevent this, maybe a linkk back to Squidoo from my website or a dontfollow on my website? Im not sure so any help here would be great, Also If I use other peoples material in my blog and link back to them, obviously I dont want the credit for the original material I am simply collating some of this on my blog for others to have a specific library if you like.
