10 place drop after Panda, any suggestions?

We've tried everything and just can't get our ranking back up.

Hi, the actual page is "www.absoluteautomation.com/driveway-alarm.html" we've adjusted our keyword density (decreased), removed some incoming links which may have been considered spammy (unlikely but just to be sure) and that's about it for page specific SEO work, as a site we've stepped up our Facebook and Google + campaigns.

Hi Margaret,
Sorry to hear you are having issues with this. You are not alone.
Its difficult to tell what is going on with your website w/out a link to it. If you wish to keep the site under wraps, that's fine.
So, moving forward, what steps have you taken so far in order to rebound from a Panda Attack?

When trying to sculpt an internal link structure, is there any point in placing text links to top level pages that are already in the main menu?
Does Google recognise a link in the content if there is already a link in the menu? My understanding is that Google only counts the first link it finds.

Panda 4.1 - Regained rankings by making changes on my site
So thought I would share this with others as it 'might' help. So I got around 40 pages, all of them have taken a dive in rankings so on average from Pg1/2 to Pg5/6. I took one page and started working on content upgrades, I had around 50 words of boiler plate content above the fold and 750 words of unique content way down the page so maybe 600px below the fold before you hit it. I removed the boiler plate content and produced 75 words of unique content to replace it, I shuffled things around and managed to get the 750 words maybe 250px below the fold then chucked another 100 unique words into the mix. Fetched the page in GWMT's and resubmitted the URL - hour later that page alone, the page I upgraded had recovered its rankings back to the original position before Panda 4.1 hit. Will the rankings for this page drop back down again, not sure but interesting this page was Pg6/7 since the 23rd and doing the above within an hour regained rankings back to Pg2 middle.

Hit by Panda 4.1 and it couldn't be more wrong!
Hi, I'm scratching my head with this one, I have a website with around 40 pages of unique content produced by a professional copywriter who works magazines and PR agencies - each page has around 750/1000 words - according to Google the reading age is intermediate as you would expect from a good copywriter, I have anchor points jumping around the page to information the user shows an interest in - this happens I have video recording and heat maps. I also receive 100s and on some pages 1000s of social shares from Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and G+. I wanted to build a site the way Google wants you to so I have done no link build at all, everything focused onsite so I just spent the last 2 months making the whole site responsive for mobile and tablet devices - I also spent time getting the load time down and 'was' in the process of hooking into a CDN for extra performance. Ive done everything I can to make the site just good and its reflected in the social sharing and natural links from sites such as huffington post. On the 23rd my sites rankings which were solid for over 2 years have crashed, but what's worse is ive been dropped and replaced with sites using the same tactics as the Payday Loan industry, and it seems great favouritism has been given to sites containing Adsense - I can see ranking one page sites with less than 300 words content and 3/4 ad units above the fold and sites which have taken chunks of content off Wikipedia and rank. Thumbs up Google, great job.

Seeking a Google Penalty / Panda & Penguin recovery expert
Hi folks, I've been dealing with an online travel agency who came to me looking for content marketing services. One look at their analytics & GWT was all I needed to see they have some serious site cleanup to do before they can start spending money on our services. Their search traffic floored with the first Panda update back in Feb 2011, and they've gone through all sorts of turbulence with the Penguin updates too. There are no messages in GWT, but I suspect their previous SEO guy might have deleted them to cover his tracks. I did a quick look at their link profile and there's all kinds of junk in there, they have dupe content all over the place and the whole thing needs cleaning up. In other words, it's a mess. I'd like to win some business from them, but first they need to talk to a Panda/Penguin recovery specialist. If you're interested, drop me a private message and I'll put you in touch with them. Thanks, Matt.

301 in place, still many 404 in GWT. Why?
We have redesigned a website. The old site used to have lots of urls, the new sites has far less. We have pointed all old urls to the new urls with 301 redirects. This happened a couple of weeks ago. But we are still getting many 404 errors in Google Webmaster Tools. What's the reason for this? Thanks in advance.

Dropped rankings due to too many links, help needed
We have just re-designed our site and added a big drop-down navigation menu to help users get straight to the category/sub-category they are looking for, take a look at http://www.discountfiresupplies.co.uk to see what I mean. Since doing so our rankings have dropped which we've been told may be because there are now so many links on (particularly) the home page diluting the rankings of that page. We've been advised that if we hide the drop-down menus using "style='display: none'" until they are required that the search engines will ignore them which we have now done but is this correct or will they still be indexed? And if so do you have any other suggestions? Thanks, Tariq
