The First Page of the Checkout is sometimes the one that most users drop from. I would not make any changes till you figure out the problem. Try setting up analytic event on every button in the checkout process and see where people are dropping off.
Also you may want to make your header smaller up top so that people don't need to scroll in the checkout process.

Thank you goodlegaladvice! We already tried with "Click Tale" but unfortunately it had some problem with an extension that is installed in Magento... The traffic is coming from relevant and specific keywords from Google AdWords Campaigns. Which is in your opinion goodlegaladvice the biggest and more common problem in a cart?

one of the main problems is the cart system in most ecommerce sites have you used clicktail to watch visitor flow?
Also check where your traffic is coming from "are they coming through a good keyword on google"
Most of the time it's a/b testing to increase conversion rate

61.45% Shopping Cart Abandon Rate - How to troubleshoot?
Hello MozPeeps! I wanted to see if I could get some help on the best method for troubleshooting our abandoned shopping cart funnel. Maybe point me in the best areas to research, or what are the best tools to use, or an improved method for analyzing and interpreting the existing data for more clarity about what is happening. I have attached the screen shot that shows what's going on. This account is using a Magento shopping cart with a custom built checkout page that is trying to copy Overstock.com's checkout page. Here are my thoughts: 1. Use Clicktale to monitor the checkout pages in question to try and get a feel for what people are doing or why they are clicking off? 2. Use another tool (not sure which one) that allows us to monitor page load speeds for the checkout process to see if orders are being hung up by slow loading pages. 3. Or, maybe 62% is not an uncommon abandoned cart rate and therefore we should just focus on automating abandoned cart follow up emails for the customers. Landing Page Conversion
Hi, I'm having a few issues with my landing page conversion. I have followed several guides found on this site (especially the unbounce.com ones) but what'ever I try my landing page CRO doesn't seem to increase. the landing page in question is http://www.drivingtestnow.co.uk/find-driving-test-cancellations. I'm getting traffic to my landing page solely through PPC traffic from Google. My stats are rough as follows: Arrive at landing page - 100% (obviously)

Actually complete the buy now process - 1% Conversion from organic traffic landing directly on the homepage at http://www.drivingtestnow.co.uk is having a conversion rate of about 5%. It seems odd to me that my highly targeted ad campaign and landing page are convertign so badly compared to the less atrgeted organic search traffic and homepage. Have you got any ideas why this might be occurring and also any tips on how I can improve the conversion rate for my product? Gary...0
