Are Title meta tag keywords case sensitive'
-
Hi!
One of the fixups that SEOmoz analysis reports is that my main keyword isn't part of the page title. The problema is that the keyrord is there but in uper case while i introduced a lower case keyword for analysis (see the example).
BEAUTY (it's in the page title)
beauty (that's the keyword i'm analysing)

OV

Hi Kenny!
First of all thanks for your answer.
I realize what you are saying and i believe I'm not confusing both situations.
The page i'm refering to is this one - http://www.isabelesteti.com/servicos/fotodepilacao-epilacao-depilacao/ (sorry but is in portuguese!) and the term i'm referring to is 'fotodepilação'. Your 'On Page Report Card' says that there's a simple fix-it issue 'Exact Keyword Usage in Page Title'. The only diference i'm seeing is the case sensite issue and that's why i'm asking for your help.
Regards,
OV

Hey OV,
Keywords are not case sensitive. One common mistake is that people will confuse "Broad Keyword Usage in Page Title" with "Keyword Placement in Page Title"
The big difference is that keyword placement refers to only if that keyword is the first word in the title.
Let me know the url though if you think we are reporting this in error.
Kenny

Homepage Title Tag - Key phrases spread too thin? Advice please
Hi there. Im newish to SEO and first time poster here (so apologies if I've posted in the incorrect place), and I'm hoping for some advice on my homepage title tag. Its is: "Asbestos Surveys & Removal, Kent & Sussex - MyBusinessName Asbestos Surveyors UK" Im hoping to target keyphrases "Asbestos Surveys Kent", "Asbestos Surveys Sussex", "Asbestos Removal Kent", "Asbestos Removal Sussex", "Asbestos Surveyors UK". My question is, have I attempted to jam too much in? By breaking the location bits away from "Asbestos Surveys", will it rank poorly for "Asbestos Surveys Kent"? Should I only target "Surveys" OR "Removal". Many thanks in advance.

Keyword Saturation
Hi guys, A run a niche price comparison website and the keywords I'm targeting are the product names themselves. I recall Moz recommended that using the keyword too many times on site was not a good thing. Typically, I would have a unique description for the products and the list of merchants, prices, links to thier site and thier product names. This resulted in my keyword appearing many times on site, in slightly different forms (the product names were taken from the merchants feed) I no longer see this warning in the recomended and I believe it is more transparent for my visitors if they see the merchants website name on my site. Is it safe to put them back on my site? Mark

Are Meta-keywords coming back?
I'm currently doing some benchmarking for a big realtor site here in México, while looking at the biggest players in the US I noticed most if not all are using the Keywords meta tag in their detail listings. I've been really open to my client about not using this tag at all given the current common knowledge but when sites like: Trulia.com, Realtor.com, appartments.com and the like, are using them I'm second guessing their utility. Does anyone have any insights on this? Should or should not we use meta-keywords? On a side note, there is some interesting microdata going on, in those sites.

Meta Keywords, Should I just remove them?
howdy guys, I am helping my father out with his SEO for his company. I am taking over the SEO helm so to speak and have to do a complete on site make over( offsite as well eventually soon) He has on every page meta keywords that are just stuffed with "money keywords" and they are the same on every page, Should i just delete them entirely and leave that attribute blank? Hope to hear back soon, thanks.

Title Tag Over Optimization
Hey, I've read that adding the company name to the title tag was a waste of space since the more words the less weight each one has, with all this over optimization preventive measures, should I rewrite the title tags format with company names? and if so should it be (company name): (naturally organized keywords) (naturally organized keyword) | (Company name). or can I keep it just naturally organized keywords Also I used to do (keyphrase) - (keyphrase) instead of commas, should I fix this? I asked this question on Randy's post http://www.seomoz.org/blog/6-changes-every-seo-should-make-before-the-over-optimization-penalty-hits-whiteboard-friday but didn't really get an answer. Thanks!

Apostrophes in keywords
It appears that SEOmoz tools like the On-Page Report Card treat keywords differently if they have apostrophes in. So for example childrens and children's are treated as different keywords. Is this a quirk of the On-Page Report Card or does Google treat them as separate keywords?
