Anyone else noticing that Bing & Yahoo are delivering widely different results

Anyone else noticing that Bing & Yahoo are delivering widely different results in past week. Prior to that after they started using Bing SE it seemed like they were identical, but no more. I am using RankTracker and getting this on several web sites.

I know rank tracker, but you should have your settings such that they don't count you as being 'logged in' to any service. With Google's SPYW and other social integration bits and pieces, the only steady rankings are the logged-out ones.
Being 'logged into facebook' on its own shouldn't mess your rankings even with Rank Tracker.

I may have missed the obvious here with this one. The results were widely different, not even close. The difference may be that I was logged into Facebook when I ran the software by Link Assistant called Rank Tracker. That skews results if you have liked the site.

Ever since the Bing-Yahoo allegiance struck up I've been looking at this question- for some of our past and present clients, the results are similar but others do seem to be very different, which is strange if they're sharing the same information and algorithms.
I've tried it logged in and logged out of Bing/Yahoo and can still get variances.
Have to say, I'm not sure why that's happening - but you're definitely not alone in this experience!

Google inaccurate results: Common or error?
Hi all, While searching for our primary keyword, I can see 2 websites on second page results which are non-related to the keyword or industry but their company name is this keyword. Like if I want to rank and searching for "SEO", there are 2 websites which called "seo trucks" and "seo paints". I wonder how Google is ranking these websites for high competition keyword with 1 million searches per month. So the keyword in URL and this keyword mentioned across the website being their brand name taking over the other potential ranking factors like backlinks, relevant content, user clicks, etc..... Thanks

Image in Quick Answer from Different Website?
I'm seeing quick answers where the answer and image are from different websites. Does anyone have any insight into what Google is doing? Example search term: "How to tie a knot" Thanks!

Question: About Google's personalization of search results and its impact on monitoring ranking results
Given Google's personalization of search results for anyone who's logged into a Google property, how realistic and how actually meaningful/worthwhile is it to monitor one's ranking results for any keyword term these days?

SEO having different effects for different sites
Hi, I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I was asked by a local company to have a look at their website and make any suggestions on how to strengthen and improve their rankings. After time spent researching their competitors, and analysing their own website I was able to determine that they are actually in a good position. The have a well structured site that follows the basic search rules, they add new relevant content regularly and are working on their social strategy. Most of their pages are rated A within Moz, and they spend a lot of time tweaking the site. When I presented this to them, they asked why there are sites that rank above them that don't seem to take as much care over their website. For example, one of their main competitors doesn't engage in any social networking, and rarely adds content to their site. I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on why this happens? I appreciate there's probably no simple answer, but it would be great to hear some different input. Many thanks

Does anyone know what it takes to get your Google Plus statuses to show up under the Knowledge Graph?
I've been looking into G+ and how to get the information and status updates in to the Knowledge Graph for small companies and have not been able to. Does anyone know exactly how to do it?

When did Google include display results per page into their ranking algorithm?
It looks like the change took place approx. 1-2 weeks ago. Example: A search for "business credit cards" with search settings at "never show instant results" and "50 results per page", the SERP has a total of 5 different domains in the top 10 (4 domains have multiple results). With the slider set at "10 results per page", there are 9 different domains with only 1 having multiple results. I haven't seen any mention of this change, did I just miss it? Are they becoming that blatant about forcing as many page views as possible for the sake of serving more ads?

Very Strange Search Results!
Having just done a search on Google.co.uk for 'payday loans' I am baffled as to why the top two organic results (image attached) are even associated to the keyword. The KW isn't present in the title, metas, or content. Nor do any backlinks use relevant anchor text. I'm guessing this is an algorithmic 'f*ck up', do you agree? uGdk7Cw92Rme
