Hi Steve,
I believe what you are really looking for is something like Linkstant. http://www.linkstant.com/
Instant notification when a new link is built to your site. I haven't used it personally, but it is made by some Distilled peeps, so I think it would likely work well. I am going to install it on my site as well, and see how it goes. Also, it's free.

Hi Steve,
We use SeoSpyGlass and strongly recommend this and the whole suite. It cost a few dollars, but is well worth it...

Hi steve,
You can use OpenSiteExplorer to track links coming in but be aware it usally updates every 30-40 days so don't go firing anyone before it updates!
You can also use SeoSpyGlass which is the same thing as Opensite, but it tracks the links in more detail.

Hi Steve. Yes, SEOMOZ offers OpenSiteExplorer, it is actually the tool we use here at Vizergy to track our link building efforts. If you click in to the Research Tools section you will find it in there. With that said, you certainly want to watch your link builder's progress to make sure he or she is not doing any link building that will hurt your rankings (bad directories, buying links etc...).
Good Luck!

Spam links with high DA
I'm running through the spam analysis and noticed a few links that are considered to be 9+ on the spam score (high spam level), but some of them have DA of 60 -75. How can this be possible? When I view the sites they appear to be be pretty low quality. If i'm considering disavowing a site should I focus on spam score or DA? A DA of 75 is a pretty reputable standing.

I'm trying to track down a tool that will provide localized rankings within Google Maps/Places, Yahoo Local, Bing Local as well as major local directories such as Yelp, Yellow Pages, etc. Additionally, I'm looking for the results to provide the address being displayed in the ranking. Any suggestions?

Is anybody else having great difficulty in finding good link opportunities on Open Site Explorer?
I've been using OSE for a while now, and I'm struggling to see any value in it. When I search my competitors link profiles, I find just hundreds and hundreds of crappy reciprocal links, splogs or the like. I have to go through days and days (thousands of links) before I find anything worth using. Is anybody having this sort of problem? Thanks

Open Site Explorer vs. Linkscape... without mozRank passed how do you measure link value?
Hi all, Since Linkscape was retired we've been struggling without the mozRank passed data for our competitor research. However, I've read that it wasn't a particularly reliable metric to go on so my question is: what makes a link more valuable, in your opinion? I'm trying to work out the relation between Page Authority / Domain Authority / Number of Links etc., ideally to come up with some form of ranking system where we can say: Overall link value = ( (A x Page Authority) x (B x Domain Authority) x (C x Number of Links) ) / Number of Linking Domains or something like that. Is this a good way to go about it? What do you guys look at when using the OSE data? Thanks in advance for your help!

SEOmoz LDA tool experience?
http://www.seomoz.org/labs/lda Does anyone presently use this tool as a regular part of their SEO analysis? Does anyone have any updates regarding this tool? It is still in the lab despite no updates for over 6 months. Is it being retired? Or promoted to production? If you do use the tool, what % of relevance is your goal when optimizing pages?
