Open site explorer or other backlinkchecker https
-
Hi MozFans,
I would like to check the backlink profile of https deeplinks on a site.
In open site explorer this isn't working: LinkIs there a other way to check the backlinks of a https website?
cheers,

Thanks Keri,
For now, the Good Answer

Right now, OSE doesn't measure backlinks to an https site. Rand suggested in a similar thread at www.seomoz.org/q/two-pr-5-websites-but-little-to-no-link-data-in-ose-how that Majestic could help you, as well as Google Webmaster Tools (if you have access to GWT for the site).

Thanks for your reply!
I did a test.
Url: https://example.com/example.html
Open site explorer: No data available
Raven: 2 links
Google webmastertools: 198 links, 9 domains -
Have you tried the link checker in Raven Tools?
i'm not entirely sure if it will do the job, but it might be worth the look. It's also important to know that Raven Tools won't give you the information that you will find in Open Site Explorer.

Page Speed or Site Speed which one does Google considered a ranking signal
I've read many threads online which proves that website speed is a ranking factor. There's a friend whose website scores 44 (slow metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Despite that his website is slow, he outranks me on Google search results. It confuses me that I optimized my website for speed, but my competitor's slow site outperforms me. On Six9ja.com, I did amazing work by getting my target score which is 100 (fast metric score) on Google Pagespeed Insights. Coming to my Google search console tool, they have shown that some of my pages have average scores, while some have slow scores. Google search console tool proves me wrong that none of my pages are fast. Then where did the fast metrics went? Could it be because I added three Adsense Javascript code to all my blog posts? If so, that means that Adsense code is slowing website speed performance despite having an async tag. I tested my blog post speed and I understand that my page speed reduced by 48 due to the 3 Adsense javascript codes added to it. I got 62 (Average metric score). Now, my site speed is=100, then my page speed=62 Does this mean that Google considers page speed rather than site speed as a ranking factor? How can we stop Google analytics pulling in data from another site?
We have a few accounts under one Google login. They all have separate Google analytics codes but one of the sites is somehow pulling in some data from another site but the other site has not got the same analytics code on it. Not sure how this is happening and what we can do about this, is it a bug in the Google Analytics system? Any help would be appreciated.

How Am I Linked to These Sites?
I was going through Google Analytics, specifically looking at the Channels under Acquisition. I found a number of sites that Google is giving credit as sources of traffic.
Reporting & Analytics | | TowerMarketing
When I went to the sites, however, and searched the page source for links to my site, I could not find any. My site is www.towermarketing.net. The sites being listed by GA are:
blackhawkhardware.com
musicas.baixar-musicas-gratis.com If anyone can tell me how Tower is getting traffic from these sites, and what I can do to fix it - because at this point I am considering them spam - I would appreciate it. Thanks!0 -
What determines the page order of site:domain?
Whenever I use site:domain.com to check what's index, it's pretty much always in the same order. I gather from this, the order is not random. I'm also reasonably certainly it isn't related to any page strength signals or ranking results. So, does anyone know why the pages are displayed in the order they are? What information does the order of the pages tell me? Thanks, Ruben

SEOing a Site Before it is ready?
Hi Guys I have a site currently being built that is 45 days away. I am wondering whether it is possible to have a dummy website (with same domain name) in play and starting the SEO effort so that these 45 days are not wasted from an SEO point of view. Is this something you have seen done effectively, or is it a no no. Kind Regards, Justin

Setting up Google Analytic Goals to a 3rd Party Site
I recently received help on a question I asked on SEOmoz but need additional clarification. I am trying to set up goals in Google Analytics for people who click on a “purchase botton” which sends them to PayPal. I created a Thank You page and tried to get PayPal to redirect to it, however, our customers only get to our site’s 404 page. Here is what I’ve done so far: Went into my PayPal account and turned the “Auto Return” to ‘on’ Under website payment preferences, I added the following URL http://www.teecycle.org/thank-youutm_nooverride1. (I formatted the URL this way because the person who provided me with help recommended using the format ?UTM_nooverride=1. However, our CMS system won’t allow “?” or “=”)
