Best Blog Engine
-
We currently are using blogengine.net 1.6 and it's proving to be an SEO nightmare, with link loops causing infinite "duplicate content". I am trying to find the best blog solution as far as ease of use, clean content and good SEO.
What do you use? What do you suggest?
Thanks!

I absolutely agree with WordPress. Wouldn't use anything else if given the choice.

Blog Posts: 1 link per 125 words?
I've seen this "1 link per 125 words" for blog posts suggestion pop up a variety of places. I wanted to know if that's "correct" or a best practice? In my posts, I generally write between 800 to 1200 words with about 4 to 6 links in the body of the post. However, (and this may be a problem) I add about 13 links in my closing paragraph, "if you have any legal questions, etc etc, click here for your "Tampa personal injury attorney, Clearwater Personal Injury Attorney, etc etc for all the areas we practice in related to that blog post." Should I stop doing that? Does that come off as spammy? (The blog is hosted on our site, if that matters for this question at all). Thanks, Ruben

Is having two blogs bad?
I'm under the impression we should only have one blog, but the company I work for wants to have our original blogger site AND link it to a blog on our website. We're basically just duplicating content, which I know to be bad. Is there any benefit to using both? If not, (which I'm guessing there isn't) which one should we keep? Does google prefer we use blogger, instead of putting it on our company site? Do the links we get from blogger help for SEO more than just putting it on our site? Any advice would be appreciated. P.S. The Blogger account has been around longer, but it doesn't have substantial traffic. It gets about 200 pages vies a month, right now. However, the one on the website gets far less than that.

How much do you pay for a 300+ word blog article?
I am considering outsourcing some of the blog writing and would like to get some idea of what is a reasonable amount to pay someone for writing say a 300-350 word article? Also any recommendations on where to find good writers? Thanks!

We are contemplating whether to put a blog on our site.
The reasons we want to put one up is obviously for SEO reasons but since we are a small business with limited resources the higher ups are worried that we will start strong but slack off. Some feel that it's worse to start and not keep up the blog as it gives an unprofessional vibe to google and other users. I maintain that I will try to keep it up to the best of my abilities and that it's better to have something than nothing. What do you feel and do you have any experiences in this?

Blog? Is it worth it?
Hi Guys, Hope your all OK. Apart from our main site we have a static comparison site that's now ranking really high for some of our big keywords. At the moment the site only has 2 pages and I'm wondering weither or not to setup a blog on the site to not only increase the pages indexed but also increase our longtail keyword rankings... I'll be able to create a new article aday. Would like your input guys. Thanks, Scott

Handling duplicate content in Blogs
Many wordpress themes like mine have a homepage where the last 3 to 4 posts are displayed on the frontpage. Each post also has its own url where the post are shown seperately. How do I avoid beeing seen as duplicate content by Google?

Guest Blogging Question
Hi Everyone, Bit of a serious question here for me, Is it worth doing a guest post on a blog more then 2 times? As an example one blog I guest post on has a homepage PR6 which I have posted 2 times, now they have requested another guest post but im thinking would it just be better to guest post on a different blog? So my question in simple terms is: 5 guest posts on two PR6 websites or 10 guest posts on ten different blogs with PR3

Are you sure moving a wordpress blog to a main website is a good idea?
Sorry to ask this question again but I left out some background info...... My blog sits at www.gardenbeet.wordpress.com I have been using the blog as my main linking page for my main website at www.gardenbeet.com - the blog links to relevant sites in both blog articles and on the side of the blog. The blog links to industry websites that in turn link to my main website at www.gardenbeet.com. If I was to move the wordpress blog to my own domain will my mainwebsite loose its strength. Will all those blog links pour my link juice out of my website? Will the current three way links become two way links and thereby lesson their linking importance? Is the previous recommendation (combine the blog and the main website) still the best course of action? Should I keep the two sites or perhaps close entries on the existing blog and start another on my own domain? thanks for your time AGAIN
