Is the ip address important for SEO?
-
Hello, I'm going to start a new SEO project. It must be positioned in Google EEUU, so I'm trying to get the hosting in an EE.UU provider to get an ip for EEUU.
Is it really important for SEO the ip address provided by hosting company, or it doesn't matter to get an Spanish ip-address ...
Thanks.
Pilar

Maria .eu is for the European Union, usually the minimum requirement for .ca, com.au, .eu, .de etc is to have a registered organisation in that country as far as I'm aware, this is the case for a number of other ccTLD's. This is why trademarks can be important as you may not be financially in a position for it to be worth you investing in a company yet in Canada for example thus you wouldn't be able to register the domain there. Thus someone else in Canada could register it when they see your site is successful and then charge you a premium for the domain later. This is where WIPO comes in handy.
As for the original point, IP addresses do seem to make a big difference when I look at how things rank across our platform which is in the US, Singapore and Australia. Having local IP's seems to confer a noticeable benefit within the US or Europe but less so in Australia as many people host in the US. There are a lot of ways to get around this such as proxy servers and a few tools out there for this like Cloudflare (of the top of my head) however this is likely only useful if you have a lot of traffic. In my opinion it's better to invest in decent servers than location based servers when you are starting i.e. prioritize RAM and CPU speed.

I never heard that to buy a country level domain you should be the nationalist of that country and this is not true as far as my knowledge goes because I have bought different domains for different locations and never had a problem!
If you r target market is US then i would prefer you to go for .com domain but if you have any other specific country as a target then going for any ccTLD is a good idea.
hope this helps!

Thanks for your quick answer Hemaini. Now, I have antother cuestion related to the extension for domains that belongs to United States. I read in a blog, that domains ".eu" (United States), can be only buyed by people resident or nationalized in United States..
Is it true? And, can the extension of the domain for my site improve the SEO position in United States? Because the other option wouid be ".com".
Do you have any proposal?

Oh, check this out its Spanish way of abbreviation check this out http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_is_US_abbreviated_in_Spanish_EEUU and you might have the better idea of it.

Hi Moosa,
Good to hear from you, but could you please tell me that what is Google EEUU?
-
It’s always a good practice to have a IP of the same location as it builds the trust over search engine and audience and you can easily rank for keywords you want on that location based search engine.
For example if you have a US ip and want to rank for .com.ec then it will be quite a difficult job but instead of this if you have a IP address from Ecuador and want to rank for .com.ec then its relatively easy!

What is this Google EEUU??
I've only heard about <cite>google.eu.com</cite>

How important is exact keyword match in content for SEO in 2018?
Is it necessary to have the exact keyword which you are trying to rank for within the first sentence of the content on your web page? For example if we are selling men's shoes, is it ok to have have the meta title and h1 on page say men's shoes and just talk about shoes within the first sentence of the content on the page. Is it obvious to search engines that this page is selling men's shoes even if you don't have the word men's shoes in that first sentence or is it necessary to have the exact keywords which you are trying to rank for written there?

How many categories should you have within a blog / Wordpress Site for SEO?
Hi Guys I am just wondering whether or not for SEO purposes it is better to have a small number of categories for your blog posts to fit into as opposed to numerous ones. The reason I ask is that I have one site which is fairly new to the search engines - 8 months old which has 7 general categories within the blog for instance "rail contractors", "railway construction" "airport construction" etc I have another site which is 10 years old which has built up 25 different types of categories for instance brand design, brand development, brand management (i guess you could put all these under 1 category "branding"? We've been writing lots of press for both sites... yet the younger site is getting more coverage on Google page 1. Would this be because the blogs / press are more concentrated under a specific category as opposed to being spread thinly throughout the site? Any help would be appreciated. Debs 🙂

SEO for a Deal Blog
Hi, I have a deal blog that is several months old. My established and successful "competitors" have a high Domain Authority (43, 46, 63) but most of their blog posts are very short. Our readers want to know about the coupon, deal, discount, code etc - they don't want 250 + words for each post. However I am concerned that lots of short posts will label my blog as low quality and that Google Panda will get me. My competitors easily get on page 1 of google. Yes they also write articles but majority of their posts are short. I deindexed quite a few short blog posts but my audience googles for coupons and deals like crazy. I try to give as much info as I can without being wordy and annoying but sometimes that still gets me only 100 words. I also write a lot of articles relevant to my niche (mom/baby/maternity) that are high quality and several hundred words. Just looking for input on deal blog SEO. Thanks!

Adding a new wp client to subdirectory - SEO?
Im working with couple of clients in the travel business. Im building up a network of blogs that add content, internal contextual links and so forth to clients websites. What I want to do is to install a fresh wp client to a subdirectory e.g. www.mydomain.com/blog for every and each client. This way I can get my outsourcing workers to log-in there and write content, add internal contextual backlinks etc. This also solves the problems of letting them learn on various different local CMS systems that are often just in the local language - that nobody understands:) So either I install it as an additional wp client if the clients has a wp client for the root domain. Im wondering what effects this will have on SEO and what is important to do?. E.g. do I install a new sitemap for this new wp client in subdirectory - or do I merge it with the one for the root domain. How? In regard to GA tracking - do I add the same tracking code to the new wp install or somehow merge it into the root domain? Are there some issues I need to worry about especially when using this approach?

Does a directory running on a subdomain help or hurt SEO on the main site?
I have a blog, with a directory on the subdomain: directory.fbforbusinessmarketing.com. Is that smart for SEO, as it gives the overall domain more traffic? Or bad for SEO because of the different topics and all those outbound links? I'd appreciate opinions. Thanks.

Is Creating a Lot of Content A Bad SEO Strategy?
In Danny Dover's book, Search Engine Optimization Secrets, he talks about how every page on your site should be at least a little linkworthy, or it is just sucking link juice from the rest of the site and not contributing any. Does this mean that creating a lot of content, (like a daily news article on your site that summarizes industry news or something similar) is not a good SEO strategy? Should you limit the amount of content pages on your site unless it can attract links or hits on one of your target keywords? Thanks!
