Quick Question About Exact Matched Keyword Domain
-
if you have lets say tools.examplexxxx.com in which "tools" + "example" makes a good keyword together i.e [example tools] (a good key word). Is it wise to put 300 quality backlinks with exact matched anchor text containing keyword**[example tools]** from niche related domains and not worrying getting hit by penguin.
-
I mean that no more than 50% of your links should have KW anchor text.
-
Thanks John for your answer I understand what you are saying but I dont't understand one thing that Aaron Wall of Seo Book.com has more than 300 back links with anchor text Free SEO Tools to tools.seobook.com but still he is not sued after post penguin update...so I concluded that might be google is linent in your use of anchor text if you have both the keyword in ur domain in this case "tools" + "seo"

Yes everything was so the people said here was true. However I don't know why one person suggested you are building spamming links that seems strange that they would know that the information. However I have a rule that has worked very well for me post penguin and it is true about the 50-50 your domain let's take mine for example blueprintmarketing.com when you are building links you should never have to worry about counting otherwise Google regardless of the 50-50 rule may catch on if it looks spamming and it quacks spam you got issues including Google picking up on natural link building. And the matter what you do do not ping all of your links at once release them over slow point in time obviously Google is used as seeing links built by people putting their name, e-mail URL so you can use your URL or your name. My domain is somewhat of a exact match domain. I do not know what Google has in store for us but I do know it's only getting tougher. build link in a blog or in the main content area of the website. Take the link with the most authority I would use SEOmoz & Majestic SEO or just Raven tools to find out your highest authority inbound link and use the anchor text on those that use it very sparingly.
I hope I have been of help.
Sincerely,
Thomas von Zickell

Thanks @Igor I will check it right now..thanks once again for helping me

You are absolutely right @Darek I think exact keyword matched domain can be risky in near future but I guess not if you have only half of the two words keyword in your root domain. Also I think those domains like medicalbillingsoftware.xxx might be in trouble in future... but you cant say anything...
A majority of your anchor text should be branded.
What if you have half of the keyword in your brand name itself

Hi,
Here is a white board friday video which talks about anchor text diversity:
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/all-about-anchor-text-whiteboard-friday
There was an article I saw on SEOMOZ, but can't find it now that gives a percentage of different type of anchor text to use in your links, it was something like this from what I remember:
30% links with anchor text to include keyword
30% links with anchor text to include domain name
40% links with anchor text to include brand
-
It is best practice to diversify your anchor text even if the links are from quality sites. Not only to avoid being hit by penguin but to help rank your site for a variety of search terms.
A majority of your anchor text should be branded.
Also, having an exact match keyword domain can be risky, although I still do see exact match keyword domains still ranking well. If you do have exact match domain, I would continue creating quality content on site and obtaining good linkbacks to avoid any future algorithm changes.

Thanks @CMC for replying so fast.... can you please elaborate a little on "you need to keep KW anchor text below 50%".... 50% of wat?
Thanks in adv
-
Well, first of all, if you control all those links, they're probably not "quality." Second, collective wisdom suggests that post-Penguin, you need to keep KW anchor text below 50%. So if you're building 300 links, they can't all have "example tools" as the anchor text.

Why would backlinks trump content and keywords / DA?
While analyzing competition, I frequently see backlinks being the biggest factor at deciding rank for keywords, while content and keyword page grading can say great things, it always comes down to backlinks it seems. Even our DA is better or equal, Why would this be?

Domain Authority and Fixing the site
Ok, so let's say I have a page on my site that says "Find a Personal Injury Lawyer Boston" Obviously that is very competitive and it is hard to get links for. However somewhere else on my site I have an article that says "10 mistakes to avoid when making a will." In theory, if I can get links to the "Making a Will Page", that increases the domain authority of my entire site, and boosts the likelihood of ranking for "Find a personal injury lawyer Boston." Is this correct? Let me know and thanks for your help!

Pr4 domain backlink from a blog post
I'm about to do a guest blog post on a pr4 domain. Will I be getting an actual pr4 backlink? I'm thinking since it's technically not going to be on the homepage forever since it's just a blog post and also a blog post has it's on page once you click on it I'm not going to get a pr4 backlink. Correct?

Open Site Explorer Question
Ok, so Open Site Explorer question: Say you enter a link and filter as follows - Followed + 301, only external, this page, ungroup. Now lets say 50 links appear from the same domain, when you visit the domain one of those Go Daddy type parked domain pages appear with lots of adsense as they usually do. Link back... No where to be seen. What's the score here? Is this domain showing up because OSE is yet to update for this domain?

Link building from keyword domains
Hi all, I am currently working on link building to our site http://www.betxpert.com which has a number of keywords I am targeting. I have become aware that domains with the keywords are available. We (in Danish) target the phrase "ekpert tips" and the domain www.eksperttips.dk is available. Would it be a good thing for us, to register this domain and do one of the following things: a) DNS forward traffic to our main site b) Build a small blog with minor content and linking to the main site with text links with the tekst "ekspert tips"? c) Simply do nothing, save the money and spend it otherwise... Hope someone can give me a sound advice. Best regards, Rasmus
