Moz bar down?

Is the Mozbar not working for link data?
Whats up with moz I signed up for a free trial and nothing works....
-
Hi Rob - I am PM for MozBar - are you still experiencing issues? If so which browser and version? Also are you on MozBar 2.61
-
Mozbar hasn't been working for me all week.
-
Howdy everyone,
Just wanted to let you know the Mozbar and OSE are working again. Thanks for your patience!
-
We're frustrated on this end too. We have one update that we've rolled out that we'll see how it does for fixing things. The coffee around here this morning has been going fast and brewed really dark as we try to get everything working again.
-
Hi Raphael,
I'm so sorry you've been experiencing problems. Can you let me know what you've seen that has been down for a month? I can work with you and help desk to get that fixed -- I'm not aware of an outage for a month that's affected everyone.
Thanks,
Keri

my problem is I heard good things about moz from a lot of people and I am eager to see what the tools can do but they have not worked for almost my entire trial month. guess thats a no-go on a subscription.
-
Yep, me too.
Seems like things are a mess right now with a number of tools. Its not unusual for one item to be on the fritz, but multiple at the same time is a bit frustrating.
-
Hi Mark,
We're sorry you've been seeing these problems for so long. On our end, we know of problems with the Keyword Difficulty Tool and Rank Tracker since Friday of last week, and Mozbar/OSE since early this (Thursday) morning.
We'll be keeping our Twitter feed updated with the status as we know it. We're still tracking down what happened to OSE right now.
-
Isn't SEO about paying attention to changes!
-
Yeah, getting similar downtime on mozbar (chrome).
-
Someone else that actually pays attention
-
Mozbar has stopped working for me today. I’ve tried reinstalling it but it’s still not working. I’ve been running Firefox 15.0 since the update came out on the 29th of August and it’s been absolutely fine until now.
Just tried OSE and that’s down, we’ve also been having issues with the keyword difficulty too for a while now too.
-
Have to say I am really dissapointed with the way in which some of the tools consistantly drop their service - especially the KW tool
-
Not sure what is really going on as the Mozbar, KW Difficulty tools as well as Open Site Explorer have not been working for the past two weeks for me. I just keep getting 'Unavailable' each time I try and use the KW Difficulty tool.
-
-
Yes I am waiting for updated reports on keyword rankings for one of my sites since 24 August.
I put a ticket in but still no response other than automatic email.
Would be nice to know that whatever the problem is it is being fixed!
-
Also there is no change in rankings reports since 28/08/12
-
I think something is wrong with the Open Site Explorer which supplies the data for the SeoMoz bar.... I keep getting an error when I use the open site explorer.

New to Moz, need some probably basic answers about Keywords, Linking, Competitors and General SEO
Hi, So I have quite a lot of data colelcted about my site now, regarding keyword research, page crawling and competitor research ect. But I find myself second guessing myself about what I have done and what to do next. I have done basic research for as many relevant keywords I could think of to my site, including branded and non branded terms. If the main competitive keywords for my niche are very competitive, shall I start doing more research for long tail keywords and only try to rank for them? Does is matter how many keywords I am doing research for? Does is matter how many keywords I try to optimise for each webpage? Are the amount of branded keywords I am researching skewing my results? As they are all ranked #1, but nearly all of the non branded keywords are much further down the list... Once I have decided what keywords are worth trying to ranking for for each page, are the techniques to actually rank more highly for them - Title, H1 Tag, Description, Meta Data, Fresh Content and using the keywords on the page? Or are there more techniques I haven't heard of? Under Keyword Rankings - I noticded that some of my keywords are directing to specific pages, like "Cavity Waxes" is directing to the URL ending in .com/cavity-waxes - How do you assign the keywords im researching to specific URLs? - Or does Moz do it automatically? As most of my keywords seem to be unassigned to any URL, is that because they are not ranking highly enough? How do I best use the data collected through Moz? Good practices? Techniques? Tips and Tricks? What is the best practice for finding potential link partners and asking them for mutual linking? Techniques for finding partners that are likely to link with us, but still provides link juice. I must apologise for this long-winded set of questions, but these are troubling me! Any help would be greatly appreciated, Kind regards, Max Johnson

Hey friends! We're looking for any tricks and tips you have for other people using Pro. Everyone has their own way of doing things. We'd love to see if you have any hacks you've created. You can send over just a screenshot, or a blog post, or anything you've got! Here are a couple examples: [blog post] Did you know you can use OSE's anchor text export to see if you are getting setup for a penguin penalty? This is a blog post about it: http://moz.com/academy/google-penguin-and-you [screenshot] Did you know you can get all your keyword ranking historical data by clicking this one little button? http://i.imgur.com/l4KxqBt.jpg Do you have anything you'd like to add? We're hoping to help spread these to others to help people utilize the tools to their potential. Thanks!

Are Moz Ratings that reliable/correlated against SERPS?
So 3 weeks in Penguin 2.0 and after an initial drop in rankings (4-5 places on top keywords from rank 1), I have seen a small climb in rankings by a couple places but have seen a huge jump in my DA, PA and Domain trust/rank... That FAR surpasses any other magicians website. However I am ranking below some really really poorly rated sites. I am getting a PA of 51 which is really high for the industry (maybe the highest). If this is the case, why am I not number one for every keyword in my demographic?

I know this is asked a lot but how reliable are Moz stats, I know no one can really know how Google rank sites on SERPS but if Moz is the best shouldn't it be kinda close? Any thoughts on how accurate Moz rank is and also if it can be used as some indication of the SEO power behind a website.0 -
Press Release - using moz bar/OSE is reading domain not page? How? Why?
A question posed by Christopher Glaeser from early today:low PA high DA, had a follow up response from him providing 2 urls from PR WEB for separate press releases: http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/11/prweb8923419.htm (HP White) On moz bar Page Analysis/Link Data = PA - 47 DA - 36 http://www.prweb.com/releases/2011/12/prweb9051351.htm (Golfer's Advice) On moz bar Page Analysis/Link Data = PA - 1 DA - 96 I kept scratching my head as to how a press release of 6 weeks ago had garnered such attention from a company that would not seem to have a huge traffic due to more obscure product offering and scientific subject (Analyses of Armor Industry versus Golf Advice).
Moz Pro | | RobertFisher
Then I realized that for HP White, Link Data was not about the PR. The url from mozbar was HPWhite.com not the above, I did not notice until I used OSE where same thing was happening. When I cut and pasted the above press release url for HP White and placed it in OSE this changed: PA - 49 DA - 96 (2 links 2 linking root domains) For Golfers advice (0 links from 0 linking domains) Note to all: the links to the PR WEB release for the HP included a low end directory type link and a link from PR WEB (. For Golfer's Advice there was not a link back to the release from PR WEB: Note that Golfer's Advice is a newer release (6 weeks). So, any link from HPWhite release would equal more juice to HP White and PR Web and Vocus. Any link to Golfer's Advice from release offers......???? to Golfer's Advice and who cares to Vocus and PR Web. So, I guess this begs a couple of questions: Why the mozbar link analysis difference for one versus the other? Does PR Web treat some differently than others? Who benefits most from me paying a PR Web to do press releases for a client, PR Web and Vocus or my client and I???? I have tried to order the images to make sense: L to R top, then bottom is last. Seo Moz for Clients
One thing I recently pondered following the introduction of logos on reports bringing that level of personalisation for the customers is ... would it be somehow possible to take it a step further and have a login on your own personal site that could somehow enable clients to download and look at the information as and when they wanted. An almost mini sep moz for clients where customers login through your own site ?
