Usin Strong Inner Pages To Pass Link Juice?

Is this a common practice? Using the Open Site Explorer I can see all of my sites strongest pages. Would it be ok for me to build other pages but putting links on these stong pages?

Well, technically you could. But to me it would be more important to optimize these pages to rank, rather then use the strength to link to other pages.

So it's your choice ;). I would rather milk the cow here....

Keep in mind that these pages are probably already linking to your other pages as well via the common header, footer and other navigation links.

Hi Guys. As part of our link building campaign I've been creating a database of people who might link to our site. We're a diary company. So I’ve been focusing on people interested in stationary, paper, pens, etc who also blog. We have a unique product at TOAD diaries, it's essentially an online tool that allows you to design your own diary. You can choose size, colour, duration, etc and also personalise the cover. So the product (we think) is very compelling and interesting. First of it’s kind. Do you think that the site itself would considered 'good content'? i.e) It's already a very interesting idea that's worth linking to. Or Would it be better to create a high quality engaging blog (with info-graphics etc) that really speaks to that community of people? Say, about our love of the humble paper diary, and why it's still useful. Then use that blog content to try get links? You thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. Isaac.

Will short linking to my site affect SERPs attribution of inbound link?

Some brand partners are using their short links to link back to our site (like bit.ly but they have their own). They have a high domain authority and trust so we want that link back to be read by Google. When I downloaded all inbound links from Moz, this brand's site was not listed, making me worried that the inbound link isn't being seen or considered! Haven't been able to find any info on this...

If i get link pointing to a specific page , will that link add up to the count of linking root domains too ?

If I create a fresh link pointing to specific page on my site, apart from adding a number to "page linking root domains" does it also add up to root domain linking ?

Do I get any link juice from a PHP header redirect from another site?

For example would: www.site-A.com/click-tracking.php?site=www.site-B.com contain any link juice? Would a 301 redirect be the simple solution?

Link juice pass on

We operate in a few countries and so have our .com website redirect to the country the person is from. I was wondering how the link juice worked in this case, does it simply stop at .com, or does it get split evenly over the sites it's redirecting to. We have just bought the .org site as well, I am to believe that link juice from a .org to a .org is better than from a .org to a .com. We have redirected the .org to the .com which then goes the the relevant country's site. An example of link juice would be... Say an Australian organisation with a .org site links to our .org site, the link juice then goes from our .org site links to our .com site, and this then geo links back through to our .com.au site. Would it be a lot better to link directly from .org to our .com.au site in this instance, or for the sake of all the sites, would the current method work okay? Cheers.

Building backlinks on sub-pages instead of main page(rood-domain)

Hey Mozzers! I am facing a problem and I need advice. I have recently opened my new website, which purpose is to offer quality articles, optimized for SEO. The problem is that I cannot find the right keyword to use for the main(root) domain (http://xxxxxx.org) as it is consisting of many niches. Is it a good idea to build backlinks on pages (http://xxxxxx.org/the-keyword-for-ranking) instead of building them on my root-domain? So basically, my root-domain will have less backlinks than my pages inside? Please give me some advice and way to act with. Thank you

Many competitor's backlinks are in content anchor links. Ho do I get these same links?

Hi I managed to open up OSE. I'm finding that much of the competition's backlinks are in content anchor text links. Am I supposed to get backlinks from these same pages using the same anchor text but linking back to my page or is that allowed? If so, how do I get these in content blog post links? Thanks. Sunil.
