SeoMoz Pro - Keyword stuffing but its a forum
-
hiya guys
Just going through the Seomoz Pro on page thing
One of the flagged items is keyword stuffing, I have 22 keywords (stuffed) but they want it down to 15, the thing is, my website is a forum. and the keyword stuffing is from the title name of each categories eg
its a nightlife forum so
Birmingham nightlife forum
Brighton nightlife forum
Leeds nightlife forum
Manchester nightlife forum
u get the picture
To avoid this keyword stuffing, should I change some of the forum names to eg leeds nightlife forum > leeds nightlife forums? just by adding the 's that will half the keywords, but its not solving the problem in the long run, if i was to add more cities and areas with the XXXX nightlife foru.
What you reckon guys?
Cheers guys

Cheers, I very much appreciate your comments dana!! from your opinion, should I fill / wait / for the forums to fill up with content then add more areas, or add more areas now and gradually fill the forums, its a catch 22, more forums = less busy = less attractive, but more area's = wider audience = more traffic (sort of)
what you think about this?

Hi Luke,
I think your idea is a good one. Another possibility would be "Birmingham Club Scene" or "Birmingham Night Clubs Talk" or anything that's a synonym for what you want. Change it up a little bit and make it fun.
Hey, I just browsed around your site. It' fun! I think you are doing a killer job. Aside from using more variety in your on-site language, stay the course man. I envy you having a site with UGC! (User Generated Content0.

thanks for your response, what do you suggest? take alook at http://www.talknightlife.co.uk
Do you think I should change the category names from eg Birmingham nightlife forum to Birmingham Discussion ? would that lower my rankings for the term birimingham nightlife ? although in the forum within that section there is a keyword placement, birmingham nightlife.
I'm unsure what will benefit me
Cheers

I don't think the problem is the name os the locations. I think the problem is the over use of the term "nightlife." There are lots of synonyms for that, like "Night clubs" "night life" "night spot" "club" "tavern" etc. I really think the problem is with the over use of that word "nightlife"

Will I cannibalize a ranked product by introducing a new product in the series with the same keywords?
Currently http://aoi-corp.com/safety-monitors/series-1000 ranks #4 for Oxygen Deficiency Monitor, the newer product http://aoi-corp.com/oxygen-deficiency-monitor/series-1300-oxygen-deficiency-monitor needs to rank for the same keyword. Will I hurt the Series 1000 ranking? Thoughts/advice on strategy? Thanks.

Site update and what to do about current keyword rank
Hi im in the process of giving my site a major update as its only one page and not responsive . The the new site will have a homepage with a list of my services with a small description of each and each service will link to its own page. My one page site at the moment ranks number one in my area for a low competition keyword (moz keyword score of 13%) of course this sends me very little traffic. With my new site im also going for more keywords but these will be Moz KWD 30% and 40%. I know this will be quite hard and take some time but i'm pretty sure I know what I need to do to get there. Now my question is what do i do with my current home page (only page) that ranks for that low comp keyword?

I dont want to lose my rank for that, so do i make a new page on my new site that is optimized for that keyword, but then I don't want to 301 my homepage to that so I guess as its such an easy word to rank for my new page would soon rank for that? What are your thoughts and advice please, thanks in advance.1 -
Home Page Keywords not Ranking and Assigned to Inside Pages
Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this. We have a few websites with the same problem. I will use http://www.prepared-meals.com as an example: The home page was ranking on page one for keyword "Prepared Meals". The site is about 6 months old. We use the Moz page optimizer on all pages of our websites to score an A rating. Recently we found the home page is no longer showing up in search results and the keyword "prepared meals" now points to an inside page that is not relevant: http://www.prepared-meals.com/Senior-Meals/Moms-Meals-Reviews.html this page shows up for Prepared Meals around page 15 in Google results. We have read keywords in the URL might be the issue, even though the page optimizer in MOZ says to do that. We are wondering if this is the issue or there is some other problem we are not aware of. Again, thank you for you for your time. -Craig

Why is SEOMOZ Crawl Diagnostics not in sync with Webmaster Tools
Currently, my Website, according to the Crawl Diagnostics Summary, has 401 'Duplicate Page Title Errors'. But in Google Webmaster Tools, under Óptimization on the Left hand Side Toolbar, if you look up HTML Improvements, there are only 4 'Duplicate Title Tags'. I have two questions re this: A) Do 'Duplicate Page Title Errors' and 'Duplicate Title Tags' have the same meaning' ? , and B) why are there 401 errors located by the former, and just 4 by the latter?

Continuous variation of a keyword
Lords, on a site i have optimization job, a specific keyword, for over 5 months, ranging from 7 to +100 position. One day the keyword is there, beautiful on the first page, and another day disappear. I do not understand why this happens, someone has something happened? I can not stabilize it, and is one of the most important for this client. I live in tension, in the morning the first thing I do is search to see whether the keyword is. Obviously it did in the first 2 months, then relaxed as she always comes back : ) Anyone have any idea what might be happening?
