Easy local - hard global
-
Hi
I was wondering what to choose. I can rank my sites in Greek language in the Google.gr and Google.com.cy easy. The problem is that is not many searches for most of the niches and people convert harder in this 2 countries. I should try to create more sites in more niches or to try to get one good niche global?
What do you think? What I shoul choose?
Any advice will be very useful.
(here I can promote also offline)
Thanks in advance

Hi Nakul,
Thanks for your advice but here I have lots of content for free and very week keywords. Plus the fact that I dont have competition. Another thing what I like local is that the seoed sites dont need maintenance. If I go global I will have to pay writers because english is not my primary language and I will have huge competition. I Have already one lead generation site and one affiliate which are working local. The lead site is working very well (each lead is 150 dollars and bring in 1 every 1-2 days) plus I discover now another local niche for leads which can bring in 1500 dollars per lead. As for the affiliate site is very low the conversion (1 per month, if I am lucky) but is not well marketed. So I was thinking where to spend my time...I have also few adsense in english but brings very few coins...Here I can create many kind of lead generation sites because I know many people who dont know what is seo and this stuff and they dont like to pay for them...so they prefer to pay on leads....

It really depends on the niche and the kind of websites you are trying to promote. If it makes sense, I would try and start with 1 website and optimize it for global and see how it works for you. Based on your success, you should be able to decide what the next steps are and usually it makes sense to continue to strengthen that 1 website, but then do you like all your eggs in 1 basket. It becomes a tough decision.
Therefore, I'd recommend you to concentrate on 1 for now and see how that evolves.

How to rank in google local listings with multiple entities?
I actually have a portal with multiple listings from different users. Every listing is a physical shop with a different address, but more than the half of them doesn't have a website. I was thinking on creating a local business for them and then add a link to my website in the section where google asks for your web address. Does anyone already made something similar? does google allows links to inner pages and from multiple domains? Do you have any other and better idea on how to show in local results if you're like an affiliate and not the direct owner of the shop? With google local listings crowding the serps it should be interesting to know how to fit in there.

If so what is the best way to approach this, contact the likes of affiliate window? and would they deal with a small regional firm such as mine, or would they only be interested in national firms such as anglian home or everest home improvements? Many Thanks

What are your biggest focuses for Internet Marketing in 2012? New Year's Goal?
We have seen a lot of shifting and movement in the search engines as of late. So I am curious as to what people are setting their sights on for 2012. And perhaps a top 3 would be appreciated. This is Internet Marketing goals, therefore SEO, Social Media, PPC, all count. Link Building? Schema.org? Facebook optimization? And try to be a little more specific like URL rewrites instead of just On-Site SEO.
