Tips to increase page rank in 2012
-
Can you suggest what are the ways to increase page rank of website and blogs? and according to current scenario, i can see google updating page rank anytime is it true?
-
A great way for you to improve the page rank of your website and blog would be to listen to what 'kellymandingo' said: try and focus on getting unique quality content added to the site and build your links.
Some other things you can do to start 'fast-tracking' your efforts to boost page rank include adding things to your site like 'rel=author', building your presence on Google+, using social media channels and article/PR directories.
Another great way to work towards improving your Page rank would be to guest blog on another person's site.
Not only will a guest blog spot, in all likelihood, provide you with a backlink, but it may open you up to an audience that you may previously never had exposure to. As a result, you may be able to leverage this relationship into other guest blog opportunities (and earn more chances to build links), gain more traffic to your site and improve your relevance as an 'authority' within a certain industry or niche.
Beyond that, have you considered buying links from sites like linkmarket.com? It has been at least 2-3 years since using this strategy (and the links can be a little pricey), however, the links are coming from sites with a higher PR and can help you get more domain/page authority in a much shorter period of time than it would take you building these links 'organically'.
Anyway, hope this helps...

Its a myth, as what would stop anyone posting spam comments on a blog to help it rank, just search the web 1000's of sites with 1000's of comments
However im going back to the original answer i gave , if you have a very well written content that people are visiting and commenting on then yes Google and the other search engines will follow this and see all the activity which would be a good thing which could increase your authority and then hopefully your rankings, then you hope someone shares your post (which will attract a few links)
Do it right and then the rewards will follow, any tricks are short lived and will catch up with you in time

guest post i have tried but there also limitation, lot of people accept guest post but they too have 0 for 1 PR.
Anyways one more thing kellymadningo i want to share with you, someone told me that (it's big secret but i am disclosing here in front of all ) that if someone do lot of comment on our blogs and links also relevant then google update page rank easily, is it true right?
-
Well if your site is worthy of a link you will get the links, if its just a run of the mill site then your correct no one will link to you unless you have something of worth for them, and that could be excellent content
High PR wont do anything for you at this stage so why the urgency ?
Have you thought about sponsoring a site, taking advertising out on some selected sites, even guest blog if your content is up for it.
-
That we all knows that to get High Pr sites linking but how? who will give us linking to zero PR page?? Pls tell me? then you mean we have to do paid??
-
Don't concentrate on trying to manipulate Page Rank, instead concentrate on getting unique quality content added to your site, content that will encourage people to link to you and this my friend will increase your page rank naturally.
But in answer to your question get some links from High Pr sites linking to you that will increase page rank too.

SEO: How to change page content + shift its original content to other page at the same time?
Hello, I want to replace the content of one page of our website (already indexeed) and shift its original content to another page. How can I do this without problems like penalizations etc? Current situation: Page A

404 Pages. Can I change it to do this without getting penalized ? I want to lower our bounce rate from these pages to encourage the user to continue on the site
Hi All, We have been streaming our site and got rid of thousands of pages for redundant locations (Basically these used to be virtual locations where we didn't have a depot although we did deliver there and most of them was duplicate/thin content etc ). Most of them have little if any link value and I didn't want to 301 all of them as we already have quite a few 301's already We currently display a 404 page but I want to improve on this. Current 404 page is - http://goo.gl/rFRNMt I can get my developer to change it, so it will still be a 404 page but the user will see the relevant category page instead ? So it will look like this - http://goo.gl/Rc8YP8 . We could also use Java script to show the location name etc... Would be be okay ? or would google see this as cheating. basically I want to lower our bounce rates from these pages but still be attractive enough for the user to continue in the site and not go away. If this is not a good idea, then any recommendations on improving our current 404 would be greatly appreciated. thanks Pete

Show parts of page A on page B & C?
Good afternoon,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | rayvensoft
A quick question. I am working on a website which has a large page with different sections. Lets say: Page 1
SECTION A
SECTION B
SECTION C Now, they are adding a new area where they want to show only certain sections, so it would look like this: Page 2
SECTION A Page 3
SECTION C Page 4
SECTION D So my question is, would a rel='canonical' tag back to Page 1 be the correct way of preempting any duplicate content issues? I do not need Page 2-4 to even be indexed, it is just a matter of usability and giving the users what they are looking for without all the rest of the extra stuff. Gracias. Tesekürler. Salamat Ko. Thanks. (bonus thumbs up for anybody who knows which languages each of those are) 🙂0 -
Can changing G+ authorship on a well-ranking article drop its search ranking?
We have an article that ranks #1 in Google SERP for the keyword we want it to rank for. We decided to revise the article because although it's performing well, we knew it could be better and more informative for the user. Now that we've revised the content, we're wondering: Should we update the article author (and the G+ authorship markup) to reflect that the revisor authored the content, or keep the original author listed? Can changing G+ authorship on an article impact its search ranking, or is that an issue that's a few Google algorithm updates down the road?

Too early? Rebuilt website from .asp to .php... Internal pages not ranking at all!
Am I jumping the gun on expecting results? I recently switched our ecommerce website from .asp to .php (new site went up May 15th) but we did not switch domain names. we seems to be doing better until a few days ago when traffic took a steep drop... (not like we were getting that much in the first place either) I was wondering if I'm doing something completely wrong or do i need to wait longer? Are big swings normal when relaunching a website? am I just being too anxious? The internal pages are getting no juice and I dont know why... I know i need to build on the links to the site? but am I doing something else completely wrong to see the orgranic search results drop down to almost nothing? I'm really new to SEO and would love if i could get another opinion on http://www.moondoggieinc.com. Thanks! Kristy

A challenge! What off-page strategies would you employ first when ranking a brand new small business website?
I'd love to hear what you guys do. I think the game has changed now in the era of Penguin. Gone are the days where you can build a few quick links and suddenly your new site is ranking fairly well. Obviously, the first steps are to get the on page SEO right - titles, good keyword use, etc. Eventually, the goal may be to build some content that will attract natural links. But, we all know that is going to take time. So, here's the scenario: You've got a new client with a website in a fairly non-competitive niche, say, a piano mover in Seattle. The site is indexed, with no external backlinks. You're happy with the current on page SEO. The site is currently ranking on page 3 for "Seattle Piano Mover". What would you do next?

Does having multiple links to the same page influence the Link juice this page is able to pass
Say you have a page and it has 4 outgoing links to the same internal page. In the original Pagerank algo if these links were links to an page outside your own domain, this would mean that the linkjuice this page is able to pass would be devided by 4. The thing is i'm not sure if this is also the case when the outgoing link, is linking to a page on your own domain. I would say that outgoing links (whatever the destination) will use some of your link juice, so it would be better to have 1 outgoing link instead of 4 to the same destination, the the destination will profit more form that link. What are you're thoughts?

Will swear words present on my pages affect my rankings?
Hi There, I am in the process of formulating a listing policy for my site and I'm not sure whether I should add something in there for swear words. My site is an adult site and swear words come with the territory, unfortunately. Will user generated content with swear words affect my ranking? Thank you
