I am looking for some opinions regarding social media plans.

We are looking to provide plans as follows:

plan a
- Facebook/Twitter setup
- 1 hour training
- Google Local set up
- Slideshare
- 4 facebook posts/mo
- 4 tweets/mo (original, not syndicated)
- content brief
- 2 downloadable objects (slideshows, pdfs, brochures ect) and submitted to slideshare
- 2 press releases and submitted to pr outlets
Plan b
- Acct set up
- 1 groupon or living social deal
- squidoo
- scribd.
- flickr setup
- 2 hour training on tools
- 8 facebook posts/mo
- 8 tweets/mo
- google local
- 3 press releases
- 2 downloadable pieces
- submission to slideshare (with lead generation)

Hi there Mozzers, Unfortunately I used a black hat seo company for my website at http://greatedmontonhomes.ca in the past. Over the last while I've been able to clean up quite a few of the bad links going to the site, but the company also engaged in buying fake Facebook likes and Tweets. Social media signals from Facebook comment plugin on your site?

If you are using the Facebook social plugin on your site like ThinkGeek does for comments: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ed6b/ Are there any positive social signals from people leaving comments that could impact the SEO of the page? I searched the text of some comments in quotations in Google and it appears that the first few comments are indexed but most are not.

Anyone use the new "Social Settings" in Google Analytics?

In the past couple of months, Google rolled out a tab called "Social Settings" in the Admin area (see image). It's an optional setting, and Google is rather vague about what it does. GA already tracks social in "Traffic Sources," so what is the advantage of using Social Settings? If you've used these new settings, what have your experiences been? Were the settings helpful? Do Your Social Metrics Such As Tweets Transfer With a 301?

Got asked this today, and I don't know the answer, so throwing it out there to all your mozzers! If I 301 redirect a page that has built up a lot of tweets, likes, shares, even +1's, does that social data get transferred over to the new page in as far as social strength/ authority is concerned? Would Google still be able to see the previous version of this page had x amount of tweets etc, and take this into consideration when ranking the new page?

Social Media and its importance for organic ranking

Hi Community, maybe this question hasn't to be answered directly, but can be answered with a link. I am sure the answer must be out there on the web... 😉 I have a company, a companies website and a companies facebookpage. Now the question: What kind of user activity on my facebookpage is good for the organic ranking in google? Is it only good, when people click the "like"-Button on my homepage (which gives me a nofollow-backlink from facebook - unfortunatelly in most cases hidden for googles eyes)? Is it useful when I get a "like" directly on my facebookpage? Or is it the best to have a status on facebook that is shared very often? Will Google see the connection between a shared facebook status and my website (of course the website is on the info page of my facebooks site...)? I ask that because I wonder how (for example) a viral picture on facebook shared very often can helb my business. Uuuuh, so, where's my answer on the web? 😉 Thank you!
