Am I using my Blog properly? -- Advice Please
-
Hello...
I am just looking for some feedback in regards to the blog on my website.
I am using the blog to create unique and fresh content, hoping that it will in turn help my site attract visitors and better rankings...
My question is, does each post have to be at least 500 words or is a 300 word post fine? I do put hyperlinks back to the correlating pages on the site inside each of these posts, just wanted some feedback on if everything i write needs to be roughly 500 words.....
Here is my blog if you want to take a look at what I've been doing and provide any feedback..... thanks!

Thanks to all of you for the advice and feedback.
I appreciate it!

Hey Prime85-
With regards to your question, I have found that the more information you provide on a blog subject the better. However, that does not mean that every blog post needs to be super long. It's good that your focusing on creating unique, fresh content for your blog. I can imagine it's difficult to really get a cult following from a blog on storage bins but providing relavent information and addressing consumer and commercial storage concerns and techniques will give your users the best information possible.
Some feedback for your blog.. and I mean this in the nicest and most constructive criticism way :).. maximizing the user experience for your blog is the best way to gain a loyal following and consumer trust. Not only in relavent and informative content but also in design and usability. As a third-party looking at your blog for the first time I have to say that it's not very appealing to the eye. It looks a bit cluttered and your color scheme could use some work. Consider color matching more aspects of your site to your logo to create a uniformity that flows on every page.
Good luck with sales!

From our experience, we've found the longer posts tend to perform better in search (500+). That being said, you don't want to write for the sake of writing - the topic should drive the word count.
When writing longer pieces you should break them up with subheadings to make them a bit easier to get through. They're also natural H2s.
You should also be linking externally (looks like you're only linking internally). It will make your posts look more authoritative and will ultimately act as a better resource for the reader. You're giving them access to more information through those links.
Happy blogging!

Hi - I have heard that over 300 words is optimal, so I don't think you'll need to write 500 word posts all of the time.

Has anybody ever heard of or used Linkredible?
Link building is the hardest aspect that we, and I'm sure most SEO companies, deal with. I've been looking into a company called Linkredible (https://linkredible.com) that provides link building services that are supposedly pretty "natural." Their explanations and service descriptions all seem to make sense, but I definitely don't want to do anything that could cause link penalties for my clients. Has anybody used this company or any similar services that could give me some input?

I have 5 websites (www.sample.com) targeting 5 different counties
www.samplecn.com (china)
www.sampleny.com (new york)
www.samplekr.com (korea)
www.samplejp.com (japan)
www.samplesg.com (singapore) On each website i have a flag logo on every single page/ header allowing users to select the other websites. After 4 months, i end up with 200,000 backlinks from all the other 4 websites Why am i worried: I find myself ranking #1 for a lot of the keywords for the 4th months straight now without doing much SEO optimization. And there are alot of websites below me which have better and more informative site than me. Should i be worried? am i doing something called "sitewide links"?1 -
Migrating blog posts to new site
I'm in the process of setting up a new site for a client, moving them over to WordPress from Joomla. They've got 50ish blog posts on their old site, but none of them have accumulated any external links. Is it worth it to copy them over to the new site for the sake of retaining all that content, or better just to start from scratch?

NAP corrections without using Yext
There are certain places where my address or phone number appear incorrectly online. I have tried to fix this, but many of these services are tied in with Yext, and I don't want to use Yext. For example my phone number is incorrect on whitepages.com. Also, my phone number was incorrect on Americantowns.com, and so i contacted them with the correct number, and then they deleted my listing altogether. More and more directories are tied in with Yext. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make these corrections without using a service such as Yext?

Guest blogging company - yay or nay?
I'm considering working with a guest blogging company. The quality of the writing seems to be decent / not spammy. The types of sites they're guest blogging on are... http://theblogabouteverything.com/ http://globalgoodgroup.com/ I know these are fairly generic blogs. Is there any chance of a manipulative link penalty with these types of sites? Thanks!
