False Pro reporting of duplicate titles
-
I am testing Pro. About 250 pages of content at my website.
Pro says ALL of my pages have duplicate titles., but when I click on details, they display as unique titles. Ie: first page of results of Pro is as follows.
While the content of my website is on one major topic the title meta tags are NOT identical. Is this an issue with Pro, or is Pro looking at something other than the title meta tags?
Please advise ?

Hi Fred,
Sorry for any confusion. I looked at a handful of your pages that are reporting duplicate titles and they are legit. It looks like your site is set to resolve properly with 200 responses using both the www version and the non-www version.
That is not only giving you duplicate titles and content, but is likely to impact your rankings as those URLs will fit for placement with each other.
That's something you would want to address by redirecting to one or the other. You'd want to talk to your Web Dev team if needed to make sure it's done properly.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel. -
Thanks ABE, you sent me a message about duplicate content. But this is about duplicate TITLEs.
Please advise why Pro is reporting the duplicates.

Hello Fred,
I would love to look at this for you. I'm going to create a customer service ticket for you so we can make sure this isn't a mistake on our end.
Talk to you soon!

Joomla Opencart Duplicate Link Issue
With a few recent catalog changes my client is having tons of duplicate content issues. The most peculiar is one that I cannot see visibly on the site pages. This page: http://www.CLIENTDOMAIN.com/catalog/lights.html shows to have several duplicate content issues with URLs such as: http://www.CLIENTDOMAIN.com/catalog/lights/Lamp-DRW.htmlhttp:/www.CLIENTDOMAIN.com - where the domain is basically added to the end of the first URL. Has anyone seen this? Any fixes, plugins or thoughts? Thanks,

Why do the Ranking Report emails differ from the acutal Ranking Report?
I have been noticing that the Rankings listed in the emails are far different from the ones in my report once I log in. Any idea what this is about? Often the rankings in the email are much better then in the report. And I am talking about on the same day as the email was sent out, not a week later.

Would you be able to add functionality to rankings report?
It would be great if you could add annotations to the ranking graph so you could easily see when you had added site updates and the effect they had. I would also be grateful for a key on the graph so you didn't have to hover over the lines to see what's what.

Conflict in reported link data
I have a competitor in a campaign - the campaign report shows 181 linked domains BUT - the site explorer report shows only 15 linked domains. Which is correct? Title too long
When I look at the Crawl Results for Title Too Long, I receive several pages of results. If I want to print these results as a PDF, only the first page prints. When I go to the Next Page and attempt to create a PDF of the second page of results, the PDF only contains results from the first page - which I have already printed. When I ask for a CSV of the results, I receive ALL of the results but NOT the "over by x characters" that I see in the online results and in the PDF. The "over by x characters" would be very helpful! How can I get PDF printouts of ALL pages of the results, not just the first page? Thanks.

Why aren't canonical tags reducing duplicate page title/content?
We have canonical tags set up for a feature page on one of our sites. This site has an image gallery controlled by javascript. To aid the user experience the image can also be specified by a URL parameter (the javascript also uses this URL to fetch the images). The SEOMoz report complains that the links to these images have duplicate page titles and content. To try and combat this we set canonical tags to point only to the original page, without the slideshow parameter. e.g. http://www.example.com/feature-page/ http://www.example.com/feature-page/?slideshow=1 -> canonical tag set to http://www.example.com/feature-page/ http://www.example.com/feature-page/?slideshow=2 -> canonical tag set to http://www.example.com/feature-page/ The latest SEOMoz report has come back and the errors still exist. What can we do to remove these error messages? Thanks
