Best way to publish same content on 2 blogs?
-
I currently have a couple of blogs and I want to put a post on one of them and then copy it onto my other blog, but give the credit and the link back to the original (lose you yet?)
I want to write a blog and publish it on my site (http://goo.gl/WRwR8)
After it's on the blog on my main e-commerce site, i want to copy it onto my wordpress blog (http://goo.gl/0SSti)
What is the best way to accomplish this without creating duplicate content? Is there a way to state on the second wordpress blog that this post originated from the ecommerce site?
I could really use some guidance... Thanks

I'm no expert in storage but you will have to find your niche to get publicity. You may want to provide more images because in a content perspective, your posts all have lots of text and few images. Not really appealing and hard to attract a user to text versus an image of what is being discussed.

the purpose would be to get more viewers and more visibility to the post...
Just putting this post on my e-commerce site's blog isn't going to attract tons of visitors... any ideas how i can attract more visitors?

What is the purpose of putting it on the WP site if the full content is already on the e-commerce site?
Its not best practice to do what you are currently doing and Google could penalize you or devalue those links anyway. Plus the WP site doesn't really have much authority, so it doesn't really benefit you at all. Just a bunch of links coming from one site(that pretty much only links to your site) to your e-commerce site.

so if i'm publishing content that i think is very good and should be shared, i'm better off not putting on that wordpress site?
-
If you really must interlink them, you will have to decide to have the primary source. Which in the case would be the e-commerce site. On the WP site, just create a short summary of the whole post from the e-commerce site and include a source link.
Just to let you know Google frowns upon linking methods similar to that mentioned above, especially if this is done often.

Where To Add New Content In Site URL?
I'm planning to add a new section to the website that will increase visitor traffic and social sharing by using regularly updated video content. I'm thinking of adding the videos to YouTube and Vimeo as their own channels and then host those videos on the site aswell using a cloud storage solution. Is this a good overall strategy? Where would I add it in the URL so it generates the most SEO benefit for the whole website? www.mysite.com/new-section www.new-section.mysite.com

Finding Resources for Content Marketing with a Difference?
We have been creating written content for a client over the last year with great success. Locating websites across the internet to publish our articles was not difficult, just a little time consuming. Now we have decided to take this a step further by creating a comic strip for the same client. The only problem is, we are having great difficulty finding a site that would be suitable for publishing this content. Its not an infographic, or slideshow, or video and its not a written article. The usual search operators are no good as this is our first attempt and REAL comic geeks are so serious about the art im scared we'd be pulled apart. Does anyone know of any resources which would publish this type of visual content? Thanks for your help! Hayley

What's the best way to host video for SEO purposes?
Hello SEOmoz folks, I'm curious as to whether it will be more beneficial for a website to host a video on the site itself or to host it on YouTube and then embed the code on your site. The options so far, as it seems, are: 1.) Host the video on YouTube or Vimeo or wherever else, then embed the YouTube code into your own website's HTML. 2.) Host the video on your own website by itself. 3.) Host the video on your own website AND YouTube AND Vimeo. I'm wondering which option is best. And if hosting your video on your own website is a good way to go, whether to go that route solely or in addition to hosting on YouTube, what is the best way to go about that? Do I have to embed a player AND the video info into the HTML of my website? What player is best for this? Flash, or something else? And once I get the video on my site one way or the other, how do I write the code to make sure the video thumbnail shows up next to my search results in Google to maximize the SEO potential for the video clip? Sorry for the long question, but I've been searching everywhere for this and I'd love just a direct answer on it. Thanks for your help! Cheers, Dani

What are the best practices for Google Places for a manufacturer?
A manufacturing client has distributors around the world. Can I add these distributors to my client's Google Places account through the bulk upload feature? Is there a better way to ensure that people searching in the company's various territories see a Google Places entry for the appropriate distributor?

How does google decide what city a blog belongs to?
I'm trying to build links from more local blogs at the moment and considering a huge list of blogs that are in my city, of which many do accept guest posts. I'm trying to discover a metric to thin this list down further. Is there any way of finding out if google considers a specific blog to be local to a certain area? What signals does google consider when it is making this analysis? Is it the content? or is it the "about the blog author" section? Thanks, Storwell
