How to link my websites with each other - to avoid google penalities and get some value
-
I have good high DA PA websites hosted on same IP, added in same google analytics and GWT account. So i think google knows that owner is the same.
How should we link them with each other to get some value?
Put nofollow? With what anchor (Money keyword or domain name)? But whats the point? We cannot make natural link building profile with our own website nofollow links, i assume they will not count.
What can you suggest?
Maybe it is better not to link at all?

Google knows u own both sites. Don't interlink them unless you are doing it to point someone to the other site for a store or something like that. In that case nofollow all of the links and you'll be fine.
If you are doing it to try and pass PR and boost you rankings then don't do it or both sites could get penalized.

Caution is the word of the day. Be very cautious about how you link. There are a few options. One of them is NOT to link from the sidebar, header or footer of every page on one site to another site.
Where and how you link depends a lot on the topical focus from site to site. Just because you own them does NOT mean they should be linking to each other. What's the legitimate non-SEO reason? Are they offering similar content or products or services? If they are not, the links won't count enough to even bother most likely. If they are, you can put a link in the footer of the HOME, and maybe an "About" or "Contact" page. Or within the content area of the home page or about page or a main products or services landing page.
I would avoid keyword phrase anchor text if it's a footer link, as that is blatant SEO manipulation and a big red flag now. Instead I would use the domain name as the link.

Value of EDU Links?
Greetings: We are considering hiring a firm specializes in developing .EDU links. Is the ROI on EDU links better than non EDU backlinks from reputable domains? Will obtaining EDU links results in greater domain authority and improved ranking for search engine results? Thanks, Alan

Are We Doing Link Building Right? Do Certain Links Actually Matter?
I've been thinking about this as I go through my daily link building activities for clients. Do we really know as much as we hope/think we do about how Google values inbound links, which links actually matter, and how much these link signals play into rankings? For example, does Google REALLY value the fact that a business is paying to sponsor a local sports team, or to join a local chamber? For local businesses, link building is rather difficult because they don't necessarily have the resources or ability to implement ongoing Content Marketing initiatives to earn links naturally. How can we be sure that the things we recommend actually make a difference? I had my family real estate business featured in almost a dozen articles as expert sources, with links from authoritative sites like Realtor.com and others. Does Google distinguish between a profile link on a site like Realtor.com vs. being featured as an expert source on home page news? Just second guessing a lot of this today. Anyone can to share thoughts and insights?

How much value do you put on a Link Detox Score?
So i am working on a site that has a really bad link detox score. It was over 1250. We have it down to 950, which is still showing deadly risk. Competitors sites are like 450. So we are currently done link removal and buildling new links, but I am wondering if there is any point since the link detox score is still so high. We did disavow like 2000 links, but you all know how much good that does. What are your thoughts?

How to avoid too many "On Page Links"?
Hi everyone I don't seem to be able to keep big G off my back, even though I do not engage in any black hat or excessive optimization practices. Due to another unpleasant heavy SERP "fluctuation" I am in investigation mode yet again and want to take a closer look at one of the warnings within the SEOmoz dashboard, which is "Too many on page links". Looking at my statistics this is clearly the case. I wonder how you can even avoid that at times. I have a lot of information on my homepage that links out to subpages. I get the feeling that even the links within the roll-over menus (or dropdown) are counted. Of course, in that case then you will end up with a crazy amount of on page links. What about blog-like news entries on your homepage that link to other pages as well? And not to forget the links that result from the tags underneath a post? What am I trying to get at? Well, do you feel that a bad website template may cause this issue i.e. are the links from roll-over menus counted as links on the homepage even though they are not directly visible? I am not sure how to cut down on the issue as the sidebar modules are present on every page and thus up the links count wherever you are on the site. On another note, I've seen plenty of homepages with excessive information and links going out, would they be suffering from the search engines' hammer too? How do you manage the too many on page links issue? Many thanks for your input!
