I am trying to figure out internal linking. Please help me.
Your "root domain" (the top level example.com) is the easiest to rank on a SERP. When you build Page Rank on this page, you want to make sure the majority of the PR goes into internal pages that matter. To do this you determine what internal pages are most important and put them on the menu bar. You then link to these pages in the body text, or via side bars. This will ensure that the PR is flowing from the root domain into the internal pages multiple times.
The second part is to link from these secondary pages back to the main page. Correct? When you build back links on the internal page, you want to pass the PR back to the main page...

I never see links from internal pages linking back to the main page.
I see internal pages linking to other internal pages. I don't normally see people targeting their root domain with links from internal pages. Is this bad practice? It goes to reason if the main pages passes link juice to six secondary pages that it would be good practice to pass it back.
The navigation bar has "home" on it. Does that imply that every page on the site passes juice to "home" and every link on the navigation bar? Does that then mean that it's good practice to have a good number of links on the navigation bar to spread link juice from the entire site back to those specific links? So each link on the navigation bar should be a page I am trying to rank for a keyword.
My site has 10k pages indexed. Mostly real estate listings. The pages are all PR0 so likely pass nothing along to the navigation bar links...
A good practice would be to chose all the pages in my navigation bar and SEO each one. Get each internal page on the nav. bar to a good PR so it passes it's link juice to all the other pages on the navigation bar and back home. Right? The navigation bar should be links to all pages you want to rank highly for because you can (with above strategy) rank them well together by ensuring a good few internal links.
I do a lot of blogging. I get back links that way (duh). When I go on a blog and make a post, I should make a comment using my root domain. The next time I comment on the site use one of the internal pages on my nav bar, then another one. This way one site is feeding link juice to each of my internal pages which then feed my other internal pages/home. Right?
Main point: I won't get a huge return for getting 10 links from one site. Each will pass juice but it will devalue in volume; however, I can get 10 links from that domain to 10 different internal pages at no devalue then pass link juice from those internal pages at no loss. Right?

Should links on a family bar be no follows?

Internal Followed Links and Total Internal Links as 1
It is showing Internal Followed Links and Total Internal Links as 1 in OpenSiteExplorer Tool http://www.expresscasket.com/ http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/comparisons?site=www.expresscasket.com Not able to understand and identify the problem and fix it. No links or traffic to our articles
Hello, Our articles are written by a professional in the field, taylored to what we think our ecommerce customers would most want to know about. But there is no traffic to our articles and almost no inbound links. We have 15 articles around 500 words (roughly) each. We've got a right sidebar banner about our FAQ and articles and a rotating banner with one slde about our articles. Also, we have a tab at the top. We've had a good article section for 5 months, and a descent one for a couple of years Could it be our industry, or what can we do?

Good Internal Site Structure Idea?
Hello SEOMoz, After reading a bunch of your Site Structure articles, I've decided to make ours more flat. There are numerous pages on our site which are linked to directly from our homepage, wasting mysterious amounts of Link Juice every day. I want to remove most of these links so that the Fewer, and now more heavily weighted, Homepage Links will be more powerful... but I am worried that the pages which I am knocking down to the 3rd tier level already have high rank and are distributing this Juice to other pages. The problem is that 3 of these 9 pages are great for assisting our sales team, so I cannot take those 2 links off of the homepage...so I will be forced to Nofollow them instead. I am worried this is cutting down the number of pages on the site, also cutting out content which was previously indexed. Is this whole thing a good idea at all? And should I just leave those 2 pages alone because I can't remove the link? I'm thinking maybe I should rel=canonical it back to the homepage? I am ultimately trying to rank the homepage for the keyword "POS Software" and this is my on-site strategy for it. Maybe adding a link from those 2 pages that say "POS Software" back to the homepage is the best bet in this scenario? I am trying to learn the absolute best thing to do instead of guessing. Thanks! Internal Links & Title Tags, Which Page Benifits?
The best way I can explain why question is with an example. Lets say I have a parent parent page that is focusing on a broad keyword.

I also have a sub-page which is focused more on long-tail keyword variations. When I make an internal link and give it a title tag, should I give it the long-tail keyword for the juice, or should I use the broad keyword for the parent page's relevancy? Thanks for any help, advise or pointers.0 -
To many links on a single page Error
I've seen it a few times where you should have less then 100 links per page to help crawling unless your a massively authoritative website. But what happens when your a large ecommerce website with categories and sub categories, you could have a category called 'computers' with a drop down list containing lots of sub cat links. Whats the solution to this? Cheers
