Too many forum posts - may I delete the oldest ones?
-
Hello,
We've got product pages with comments. We have collected so many comments for the last two years on these pages so they made problems to our website. We plan to cut every posts older than one year to solve this problem.
Could it be bad for SEO? (Yes, these are really unique and relevant posts...)
How could I predict the consequences?
Thanks!

Thanks, Iain!
Our case seems a bit more complicated (or more simple). Page loading time is very long due to the large amount of posts, so we must reduce the amount of comments.

Hey DDLUX,
I see where you're coming from. The important question is are any of these pages in Google's main index? If so don't remove them. Also check if any are receiving SEO traffic directly. If so, don't cut those either.
However thin/low value pages need cleaning out otherwise you'll get a visit from Google Panda!
Thanks

Hi everyone! I would like no-indexing all the posts of a specific category of my wordpress site. The problem is that the structure of my URL is composed without /category/: www.site-name.ext/date/post-name/

Using Yoast Plugin I can put the no-index for each post, but I would like to put the no-index (or disallow/) a time for all the post of the category. Two keyowrds for one page
Hi there! I just optimize two pages for the same keyword as I didn't find a especific keyword for each one independently. On the other hand, these keyword was "suitalbe" for the same two pages. Obviously Google will have to "make a decision" regarding what page should it be indexed in the first postion? In what aspects or elements of the page should I incide in order to give priority to one page more than the other one? Thnaks

One site with one product or multi product website
Lets suppose that i have 10 NICHE products under me. Should i make one site for each product or one site overall. If i make 1 site for each product i get several advantages Domain name has keyword Title tags etc will be dedicated to one keyword only. Disavantage - Backlinking for each domain will become tougher. Advantage of one site onl Good management Seo / backlinks becomes easier Blogging to attract traffic becomes easier Can target a lot of keywords through business blogging Disadvantages Can become messy with unimportant keywords gaining importance. SO WHAT DO YOU THINK??? One site per product or One site for all products?

I am optimizing my webpages according to suggestions from the On Page Report Card. Should I have more than one keyword for a page?
I am optimizing my webpages according to suggestions from the On Page Report Card. Should I have more than one keyword for a page or should I make separate pages for each keyword even when they are similar? Will Google penalize me for making similar pages? Imagine selling, bargain milk chocolate peanut clusters. Keywords examples could be: Bargain chocolate Bargain milk chocolate Bargain milk chocolate peanut clusters Bargain chocolate peanut clusters Chocolate peanut cluster bargains Milk chocolate peanut cluster bargains Etc. Will one page called http://mycompany/bargainmilkchocolatepeanutclusters.com be OK or should I have one called http://mycompany/bargainmilkchocolate.com and one called http://mycompany/bargainmilkchocolatepeanutclusters.com and one called http://mycompany/chocolatepeanutclusterbargains.com , etc.? Thanks for your advice.

To many links on a single page Error
I've seen it a few times where you should have less then 100 links per page to help crawling unless your a massively authoritative website. But what happens when your a large ecommerce website with categories and sub categories, you could have a category called 'computers' with a drop down list containing lots of sub cat links. Whats the solution to this? Cheers
