New website start of SEO
-
I have a new domain name starting its SEO have added it to Pro Dashboard campaign of my ac. Started doing is Research with competitiors backlink analysis as well.
1. If i do i say 10-30 back link requests in a day for 1 domain name using research of the analaysis tools will it be ok or it will be high numbers to start with ?
2. Shall i in start itself of SEO start doing blog commenting or not recommended.
3. Having same email id and name for 3-5 blog comments day for new domain with same email di and same name cannot it hit to any spam issue ?
Asking however i read blogs and then only do good post of comment to ensure that it also contribute something in name of fresh good content to the comment box area to get good approval rate as well.
I want to know the basic numbers to start with SEO for fresh new domain and how shall it be progressive in numbers etc.
Will wait for reply of the community members...

When we were building links we would go straight to websites that are ALREADY linking out to great content in our niche and ask them to consider our content for a link. When we found sites like that we would build better content than they were already linking to.
We no longer do linkbuilding. Instead we spend all of our time on content creation and our visitors on their own submit our content to sites like stumbleupon, slashdot and reddit and that exposure creates links with no effort from us.
IF you can create linkable content you can eliminate the work of linkbuilding. Progress that way is slow at first but after your traffic starts growing it works exceptionally well.

Oh really good advise of yours specially i like your advise
"Instead of doing an overall backlink assessment of competitor's domains I would to an assessment of individual content pages that are similar to what is on my own site."
I agree to it its really worthy to check with pages as it really shall be good idea.
However in this case in start do you think we shall do some general practices as well which others do such as Article Submission & Directory Submissions in start phase or you think there is no need if we can get a few of the good authority or high value back links if our pages can get?

If you have great content items then you have a good chance at success.
Instead of doing an overall backlink assessment of competitor's domains I would to an assessment of individual content pages that are similar to what is on my own site.
If you can get other webmasters to link to your content on its merits you can then set a goal of spending zero time on linkbuilding and 100% of your time on developing linkworthy content that increases the keyword reach of your website.

Hello Sir,
I am very happy that you replied to my post i have seen your profiles and replies possibly on other forums as well and I am really very happy that you got a few time to reply to my thread or query. Since i know you are senior to me in such knowledge.
I agree and i say my website is new but do have good content with the subject industry. And i say i have blog as well where i have already started doing the blog posts of good quality posts.
But my question in that manner isn't it a good idea to start some back links building the my website with competitor's back link analysis, Directory submission etc. in start phase as well or shall I wait for others to view my website and think to link back to me for FREE from their side itself.

Why would anyone want to link to your domain?
Do you have engaging content, useful information, an active forum, a great blog or some other attribute that would inspire other webmasters to link to the site?
If you do not have these types of resources then your linkbuilding success will be very small. However, if you have linkworthy resources on the site then you have the opportunity of great success.
Create great content before you try to build links will use your linkbuilding time for greatest success.

How should I start?
Hello Everyone, I have just launched a new education website for the UK market. Its been a very long time since I did any link building or SEO. I dabbled in it for my own business almost 10 years ago and although I was (and I am) an amateur it was nevertheless very successful and effective. It felt like you could get some links and rank without throwing a huge amount of money at it. However, it seems a minefield now. It also feels like if you don't have deep pockets you don't have a hope in getting ranking. And my budgets are very limited. I am looking for advice in terms of what I should do to get this website to rank and get a decent amount of traffic. I am hoping Moz members can help me with this. I have a website which I published less than a week ago. It has now been indexed by Google. On a positive note, I believe its a very powerful exact match domain. And as its education, it has a lot of content or pages, which will only grow. I am happy to post the domain here, I don't know if I should? On the negative side of things, it obviously has no history or links. So if you were trying to rank a new website, what would you start with? What would you do first and second etc? Do people still get directory and forum links? Are they useful? It seems like its mainly blog articles now. Please educate me a little. I am trying to read up as much as I can. But there is a lot to take in. Thanks. Ryan

Submit new list of links to be disavowed
I had a question and I am hoping that some one on this community will be able to help clarify. We went through a link removal and disavow process last year. If we see more unnatural links showing up in our link profile and we want to disavow those links, what should be included in the new list of links that need to be disavowed: Only new links or domains Old list that was disavowed + new list that needs to be disavowed Thank you in advance for your help.

Sort of lost my way - Links, SEO
Not sure where to start with this so please bare with me. I do the SEO for our company website (we're a small family business), I'm not an SEO'er by profession (I'm a carpenter/joiner) but been doing our site for ten or so years. About 12 months ago sort of let go of work & web things a bit due to very sudden family bereavement which kind of hit me hard. So when I did get back into doing bits on our site I probably then concentrated a little bit too much on content building rather than going after links etc. As a result we've dropped in the SERPS a bit, but having said that still just about clinging within the top ten for our terms. Since I've started again we've had Panda/Penguin and I'm a little unsure how to go about getting links in, most of my competitors are using things like blog commenting (just random blogs that are do follow) , recip linking (any sites as long as they give a link!) etc basically things that long term will hold no value long term (or possibly none even to begin with). All this brand stuff leaves me at a loss, we're a small family business as our the majority of our competitors so not 100% sure that the branding stuff I'm reading about is relevant? As I say I've got some pretty decent content, some of which I am trying to push with mixed results – we're not in a very sexy niche so not much chance of it picking up links naturally! Another thing I am noticing is in my niche I don't think any SEO companies are involved with my competitors, most of our competitors are ranking their home pages for every single related search term, whilst I've have always tried to create a page for each search term and I have these pages ranking. For example my main search term, lets say 'wooden doors' I rank an internal page for this term whilst everyone else seems to rank homepages. I'm finding it hard to get new links into this page, so one idea I do have is elsewhere on my site I have a guide to fitting the doors (with videos, pictures and text) so what I'm thinking is place this guide on my 'wooden doors' page making it a bit more linkable (it's fairly new and not yet gained any links, so no loss to move it) and would also mean a variation of anchor text. A good idea do you think? Some of my other content has been linked to by colleges in the UK, unfortunately all the links are behind moodle log-ins (give me a decent link you leeches! Lol) ! I am thinking of getting in touch with other colleges to see if the content would be useful, but actually getting hold of the person responsible for the subject is proving difficult! I've also done a bit of guest blogging, however I'm torn between writing decent stuff for our blog or giving it away (I wouldn't like to give something away thats poor, ok or doesn’t make sense) to other blogs. Sorry for the ramble (if you've made it this far then thanks for reading!)! Would appreciate all advice. Ultimately would love to get an SEO'er involved but looking around the good un's are out of our price range so I may seek some training as it may prove more beneficial.

Duplicate content when uploading articles on other websites
Hi, We regularly write articles on our website and then submit them to different websites with link backs or sometimes without link backs. If google crawls these websites and our website, will it penalise us for duplicate content? Does it make a difference if we put link back to our site or not? If Google sees it as duplicate content, what should we do as a solution? Thanks
