What's a good CTR for text ads in GMail?

I'm running text ads in Google's Display/Content network, and these ads are targeted only to display in GMail.
I'm getting a rather low CTR, but this is to be expected? Then again, how low is too low? What's a good CTR for GMail ads?

I have about 0.02%-0.06% depending on the client for mail.google.com but it reallly depends on your keywords you are targeting aswell.
On the content network don't bother looking at ctr unless you want to test a new ad

I don't have an answer for you but I would imagine that the CTR would be really poor. I never even see the ads on my gmail - I look at it so many times per day that my eyes are conditioned to skip right over them. I've never ever clicked on one, but I have clicked on Adsense on a website.

Low CTR is OK here... nobody looks at ads when they are in email.
Use profitability as your metric.

That is a huge question. It really comes down to the quality of those clicks? Are they converting? I'd take a low CTR with a high conversion rate over the opposite (depending on ratios, obviously).

hi, I have a google adwords account running for a while in a fairly competitive market in a major city so there is only one geo location with many suburbs or council areas as popular searched. I have keywords that are 2-4 words long and very similar. I have had one keyword in its own campaign, several in one campaign and a location campaign. The location campaign has several adgroups for specific suburbs. My question is that the most popular search terms are similar but in different campaigns and I am wondering if this is not the best way. for example I have these keywords in separate campaigns as exact match and phrase match

Our PPC UTM URLs Aren't Registering In GA Properly
Hi, We recently ran a few ads on Facebook and Reddit for a campaign of ours. Each of the URLs were properly attributed UTM links. Some of them register properly in campaigns, but the vast majority aren't. I can only find the attribution by checking All Traffic and displaying the landing page and the source/medium. Our Facebook Ad Manager reports MANY more clicks than our Campaign section in GA is for the campaign name. Here's the URL I receive for the landing page: /?url=http://www.ourwebsiteurl.com/our-landing-page?utm_source=facebook.com&dm_redirected=true Is Facebook writing over our UTM with their own so all I receive is that it came from Facebook? The URL we used was complete with utm_source, utm_campaign and utm_medium, yet these aren't fully reported. Any ideas?

Looking to syndicate content - can't use PR Web or Outbrain URGENT!
I have a client in urgent need. They have a blog that they are trying to syndicate and drive traffic towards. Their blogs rest on individual URL's and their topics are loosely connected to the gaming industry. We are using PR Web and planned on using Outbrain to drive traffic, but the topics got pulled due to content restrictions. Any suggestions of tools I can use to help syndicate their blogs? What is a good tool to use to create SEA reports in?
Hiya Mozzers, I'm looking for a tool to create fancy SEA reports in. I'm doing it manually in Word right now and that just takes far too much time and just isn't pretty. We're a small marketing-as-a-service agency and SEA is one of the services we offer, but we're not an Adwords certified partner yet (because we don't have the 10.000 a month yet). I have one project Canvas Champ and we have been running Google shopping campaign for this project and we are getting good visits from some of the keywords. But our client has sorted out some keywords having high search volumes like “Canvas Prints” Now, We want to show our Product listing Ad for this keyword. Let me make you aware about our past efforts: We have set an auto target in Google Adwords for this particular product and make its bid around $8 and we have reviewed that product in listing for 2 days, but we didn’t see our Product Listing Ad on Google Search Result for this keyword. So Now, My concern is that, How can we show our Product listing Ad on Google SERP for this particular keyword “Canvas Prints”? Let me know if you have any confusion with my question. Why doesn't exact match appear to be working for me in Google AdWords tool?

Is it really worth it to invest on Facebook Ads?
