Site Wide Title Tag Discussion
-
Do you think it's good to have an instance of your primary keyword occur on most of your site's title tags throughout your site?
Or do you think having the keyword occur in most title tags throughout the site will dilute the ranking ability for the home page?
I haven't read much about this in "best practices" for title tags.
hmmmm...
-
I think by most SEO standards, people would suggest diversifying your keywords as much as possible.
However, I have multiple sites that in order to stay targeted, I have to use the same high traffic keyword, hundreds of time throughout the site.
I've had very positive results when dropping in the keyword, in every meta title (including product pages) and adding any additional keywords in the long tail. (the majority, if not all page 1)
I thinks as long as you mix things up for the rest of title it shouldn't be an issue.

You might want to use your analytics data to find the variations of terminology that your visitors use to find your pages, then use those variations in page titles, given that you're selling primarily one type of product.
-
_If you are running an ecommerce website, just keep the product name along with call to action. Repeating the same keywords might affect the visibility of your website adversely. For example:
<product name="">| Call to Action</product>_
-
How about adding pages around similar related terms? If you have a branded term for the sitename, you should be able to get away with that.
-
What if you're an ecommerce site, selling primarily one type of product?
-
It is not wise to continually repeat your keywords in the title tags, it looks spammy and can do more harm than good.
Each page should be about a different subject so they should be titled as such
All the best.

Titles and User Intent
Hi all, Just a question re: Titles. Does adding terms like "buy online" to the title for ecommerce websites change the way Google ranks you? For example: Blue Flowers | Flower Palace Buy Blue Flowers Online | Flower Palace Would the second title appear higher for people in the buying phase of the sales funnel, and lower for people in the research phase of the buying funnel? Or will it not matter?

Hi - How do you get rid of duplicate content that was accidentally created on a tag url? For example, when I published a new article, the content was duplicated on: /posts/tag/lead-generation/
the original article was created with: /posts/shippers-looking-for-freight-brokers/ How can I fix this so a new URL is not created every time I add a tag to a new posting?

Showing more Duplicate Title Tags Than WMT
This is yet another question between moz vs google WebMaster Tools. In WMT it only shows 5 pages with a total of 18 duplicate titles. But moz is showing 298. It appears the duplicates are canonical links for the most part. What is the discrepancy?

Title Tag issue
Hello, This is a weird one. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. A couple months ago, we updated trinitypower.com and it was back then that I first noticed this issue, but because the home page title tag was okay and contained the primary terms for that page, I told myself I would circle back. The problem is that even though Google crawls the site everyday, it does not update the title tag text in it's index. Google: "Trinity Power Rentals" and you will see the title in the index as "Trinity Power: Temporary Power Rentals". Go to trinitypower.com and view source. You will see the title tag in the code as "Temporary Power Rentals - Trinity Power" The desc tag has been updated correctly, but I can't figure out why not the Title tag. You can look at the cache version in the index of Google. It is showing the latest version of that tag, so I really do not understand what has happened here. I am using WP Super Cache... maybe a conflict with that? I have dumped it's cache numerous times though. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Jarrett

Does CloudFlare Benefit my site?
I am using the $20 / month CloudFlare service. My site is not running faster, so my question is: is this service adding real value? I do not have a lot of highly sensitive customer data (some email addresses and customer names and nothing more - no credit cards). I am already using Amazon Cloud Server and it appears to work fine. Any thoughts appreciated.
