Title Tag Targeting 3 or 4 keywords: Downsides to link building?

Hello,
I've got a client who's title tags for an internal page are like (just for example)
Running Shoes | Runner's Shoe | Performance Shoe | Cross-trainer
That are doing fabulous in the search engines, dominating for most of the terms and dominating for word combinations off of these 4 terms.
Sometimes there's no other category to split these up into two keywords a piece, to optimize for less would reduce traffic and conversions.
My question is, is this going to look bad when we go to do outreach and guest posting? What are the downsides of leaving a few of the pages like this in the link building arena?

As long as you are doing well in the serps and you really don't have other options, I don't see why you would change anything just to please others in an upcoming, uncertain... outreach campaign
You could change the titre temporarily (for a few days) just long enough to do your outreach, but I am not fond of changes when it comes to Google...

I received an invite from a company to enter a contest for a chance to win a prize. The contest is run by Rafflecopter. Rafflecopter looks interesting because you can place the contest anywhere including social sites and your own website. Contestants can increase the chances of winning in various ways such as an FB like, tweet, etc. The largest number of points (for this particular contest) are awarded for linking from your website to their website. Given that the contestant must add the link to their website and the sponsoring company can not control whether they use nofollow, couldn't this contest approach to link building cause problems for SEO? If the contest included instructions to copy and paste the html with a nofollow, that would seem like a better solution, but the only guidance given was to link to their home page. Your thoughts? So assuming you provide high quality guest posts to high quality blogs, is it okay or not to use this method as a link building technique?

Hi, I never hire somebody to create link building to point to our sites. On eLance.com you can hire a SEO contractor to build link our your domaine. New to SEO, is worth it to do so? Is there things I should should be careful about? Things I need to clarify before hiring somebody? Things I need to confirm or ask before hiring such contractors? Most of those ''SEO Expert'' are from India and some have perfect ratings on this site. I have 2 eCommerce sites and we only have a average of 3 sales a day. Link Building Ideas?
Hi everyone, I am currently working on a site where people can buy mail-order bagels, i.e. the bagels are shipped via postal mail. It's a good alternative for places that have no good bagel stores nearby, especially in small, rural towns. I am about to launch a link-building campaign for the website, but am a little stuck as to where to begin. My first thought was guest posting, but it seems like the vast majority of food blog owners are very protective of their blogs and rarely, if ever, allow guest posts. I also thought about doing sponsored reviews (i.e. sending mommy bloggers free samples in exchange for a review), but that's essentially a paid link, i.e. a no-no. There are of course generic web directories, but those only get you so far, and article marketing is out of the question (too spammy). Was hoping I might be able to bounce off some ideas off of you all. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for whatever tips/ideas you might be able to share 🙂 Lukas
