Example of good author page for guest posting
-
Hello,
A client of mine is looking to guest post on other sites. What's an example of a good Author page that is working well.
We're interested in knowing what to put on this page, and if the author page should be in the main navigation of my client's website.
Thanks!

Thanks Moosa
So some information about the author and testimonials would be a good thing to have. Very nice. I'm not sure how to get them not to bounce back from the website though.

I believe you are talking about Author Page like “About the Author” page and not about Author Tag... if this is the case then there are verity of things you can add on your author page...
I have a author page on my own website that tells a bit about me and then endorsements i got from influencers www.setalks.com/author/mmhemani/
You are not limited to try anything new but you have to keep in mind that author tag should attract people and encourage them to perform some action instead of bouncing back from the website.

HI, I wrote an article for photography life over 6 months ago and was surprised to discover it is placed second in the serps for the keywords "nikon cls" I have just written another 1500 word article for another photography blog and I am wondering if I will serve myself better just writing the content for my own site? Best wishes. David.

Google is no longer ranking home page but sub page lower, why?
We were ranking on page 2 and number 4 for the key word motorcycle tires. Google was ranking our home page jakewilson.com; however, we have been adding new content to our site and doing some internal linking. We pointed some links about motorcycle tires to http://www.jakewilson.com/cl/52/Motorcycle-Tires and now that page ranks but on page 3 not 2. Any thoughts?

What is an example of good anchor text?
Hi, I'm sorry to ask yet another question but the advice I get here is always so accurate and friendly that it's almost addictive. After Penguin I'm constantly thinking about what looks natural to Google. With regards to link building I can't really envisage any situations where natural anchor text would be anything other than either the name of our company or 'click here'. The only exception to this I would have thought would be if a customer was referring to a particular product on our site. Even in this situation I would have thought they'd have said 'I bought my cheap cartridges at Refresh Cartridges' with the company name still being used as the anchor rather than 'cheap cartridges'. I think if we're stripping it down to what works best from a human rather than search engine perspective then using 'cheap cartridges' rather than the company name would be just a little odd. Therefore my question is whether, when link building, I should just use my company name for all anchor text rather than trying to artificially mix it up to make it look ‘natural’. While I could vary the anchor text by saying 'cheap this', 'high quality that' and playing around with the text, almost certainly when used in context with whatever I am writing this would look unnatural no matter how many combinations I used. Is this correct or would my overuse of the company name make what should be a natural looking linking strategy look unnatural and harm results by not conveying the potential content of the page by using targeted anchor text. Thanks for your help. Chris

Guest blogging on a "network" of sites. Good or BAD?
Hi guys! We have the opportunity to guest blog on a network of sites. Basically, this is a syndicated network of sports blogs (around 200) that all link to each other. They own and operate a blog for each major sports franchise. They each average a DA around 60, but almost all of their link equity comes from blogs they own and operate.... My question is this, should we take the opportunity to create editorial content with links back to our site. This would not be paid side or footer links, but real content relevant to their blog and our industry. On a side note; All of these site have a very decent DA and show up well in Google... Thanks for any advice!!!

Paid Directories and On-page Keyword SEO
I have a new website and I am getting ready to submit to a few paid directories to get my links started. I wanted to optimize my domain name/keywords for those directories and also for my on page SEO. My domain contains my keywords. For example "www.horsebuggy.net Questions: #1 Should I target the horsebuggy.net in my on-page SEO or just target horse buggy? #2 When I submit to a paid directory which should I choose for my company name. (I currently have a DBA for each term....for ex.. horse buggy and horsebuggy.net . Thank you, Boo
