AuthorRank - The main aim for SEO?

Is AuthorRank now the main game in the SEO world for 2013?
I've seen some say AuthorRank must be worked on now, if you haven't started already?
Who's agrees with this and who doesn't? And why...

I can't say that my CTR has increased. Nothing noticable.

AuthorRank helps and the more G+ engagement you have, the better. Here is an example: http://pandodaily.com/2013/01/07/how-google-author-rank-could-change-content-marketing-and-journalism/. If nothing else, I would be more apt to click on a link if someone's photo was next to it. Also, many are now getting their G+ post snippets to rank in the SERPs as well (Mark Traphagen comes to mind).

Yep.... I have years and years of content that has lots of great rankings and lots of great links and lots of social sharing. ALL of this content is posted on one website - not shared with anybody, syndicated or republished.
We waited for several months after google introduced linking your work to your Google+ page and I did it exactly as you describe.
I expected to get a huge boost in the SERPs.
Nuthin' happened. Well.... my photo now appears in the SERPs beside my articles... but it had zero influence on my rankings.
Maybe Google did this to get good authors to sign up for Google+.

I've just been looking into way of tapping into social a bit more this year really, I know from older posts of yours EGOL you believe in creating great content and using it on your own website/blog, but do you do anything offsite to help with the marketing of the content?

I believe that creating kickass content is the best way to advance your website and I have been working on that for quite some time.
However, I can't say that AuthorRank does anything for you.
Just create content that is better than what already exists for your topic and you will probably be rewarded.

Quick Start SEO Tasks for Brand New Multi Regional Website
Hello All Webmasters, I have questions on organic visits for my fresh website targeted in Australia. I am a webmaster of http://www.canvaschamp.com.au/ and we have launched this domain before 20 days around on the date 7th Aug 2014. I have set up display network ads campaign for quick visits and going to start Product Listing Campaign soon for our products to get transaction. I also set up my social media accounts but have not update anything with them yet. But my biggest concern is to build organic links through various link building activities as per latest trend. I have couple of questions which i mentioned below My domain for AUS: http://www.canvaschamp.com.au/ How can i increase my organic visits? (Right now didn't get any organic visit) Which Link building activities still works to get maximum organic visits and how can i improve my social media performance? What are the steps to go forward to promote and increase my performance in Google ranking for this new website? (Any steps by step activity to go ahead?) Should i keep my link building activities limited to .com.au websites or can i promote globally?? SEO relevance of Google+. Should we bother getting Google+?
I've read mixed results about the SEO benefit of having Google+ for your company. I'm sure that a very small % of my sites user base has Google+ so if we did implement Google+ into our site I don't think we would really have anyone following us...or in our circle or whatever they call it. So are you guys using Google+ for your business and if so, do you think it's worth it for me to if I know barely any of my users have Google+? Google really seems to be trying to plush Google+ for business, with replacing Google places with Google+ Business and requiring people to log into Google+ to rate businesses. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Youtube SEO: Does your channel name / user name matter?
My predecessor left me a gift of what is arguably the worst kind of Youtube channel name: Our company's name condensed to an acronym with some additional gibberish that may or may not have meant something to her. In short: Our channel name will never be searched for, will never provide any ranking boost. Now our Youtube success has been very marginal so far: 31 subscribers, 7,300 video views. Given that situation, should I seriously consider scrapping my channel and starting something new with a keyword targeted channel name? Or does channel name matter so little that I should hold on to my 7300 video views?

SEO Moz Page authority and Domain authority do not correllate wih SERPS
I have checked the competitive landscape and the rankings with the keyword difficulty tool. E.g. for "Schuhe" - google.de - the rankings do not correlate with MOZ Page authority and Domain authority. What are the reasons for that and what are the important factors currently not reflected in SEO Moz Page and Domain authority?

First Attempt at Local SEO
Hi everyone, I've only been a member for a few days but this community is extremely supportive of one another, and I appreciate that very much. Here's my current project. I've done IM for awhile but now I'm helping a massage therapist with his personal brand here in Chicago. I've used the tools here to identify a few of the bigger sites and ten local keywords that he'd like to rank for - things like chicago massage, cheap massage therapy, and chicago reiki, his favorite. I'm currently getting him set up with Google Places properly so he shows up there. We have a Facebook and Twitter underway. We have a blog he can use if he wants - though I'm not sure how insistent he's going to stay. I'm planning a separate page targeting each of the keywords we're after. His competitors each have a couple local blogs talking about them, so I'm going to contact some local bloggers and offer them free massages in return for a review. He also is getting registered in some of the local business directories - mostly the ones I see the other sites already in. Finally, I was going to use some Build My Rank sites to bulk up his backlinks - maybe focus 10 on each keyword, with 5 going to the main keyword and 5 going to long tails. How does this sound for a simple, first SEO project? I'd love to hear some feedback, even if it's just "sounds great". I've never put one together for a client, and I'm thrilled/nervous. Thanks! hi everyone i wondered if googlebot explores facebook comments and if not, what are the seo benefits of facebook comments module? As you can see below, techcrunch has added facebook comments in pages http://techcrunch.com/2011/04/04/facebook-iphone-event-check-ins So is it useful for SEO purposes?
