Implementation of AJAX Crawling Specifications
-
My URL is: http://www.redfin.com/TX/Austin/8413-Navidad-Dr-78735/home/31224372
We're using Google's AJAX crawling system, per the documentation here. https://developers.google.com/webmasters/ajax-crawling/The example page above requires JavaScript to display content; it includes in the source. We have a lot of pages like this on our site.We expect Google to query us at this URL:http://www.redfin.com/TX/Austin/8413-Navidad-Dr-78735/home/31224372?escaped_fragment=This page renders correctly with JavaScript disabled. Are we doing this correctly? There are some small differences between the escaped_fragment HTML snapshot and the JavaScript-generated content. Will this cause any problems for us?We ask because there was a period of about two months (from October 4th to Dec 29th) during which Google's crawler radically decreased the hits to our escaped_fragment URLs; it's maybe recovering now, but maybe it isn't, and I wanted to be absolutely sure we're doing this correctly.

How should I implement FAQs?
My client is ranked #3 for their primary keyword and we want to add FAQs that are educational (ie, related to the technology, not specifically to the company’s products or how to work with the company). Should I add the FAQs to the existing ranking content page? Or to a new dedicated “keyword FAQs” page? I have a LOT, about 40 questions and 4000+words of answer content. And two secondary questions: Many of the FAQs have expanded content on other pages throughout the site. Is it okay to link to that internal content? Is it okay to have multiple FAQ pages? So keyword1 FAQs, keyword2 FAQs...? Thanks so much!

Crawl budget
I am a believer in this concept, showing google less pages will increase their importance. here is my question: I manage a website with millions of pages, high organic traffic (lower than before). I do believe that too many pages are crawled. there are pages that I do not need google to crawl and followed. noindex follow does not save on the mentioned crawl budget. deleting those pages is not possible. any advice will be appreciated. If I disallow those pages I am missing on pages that help my important pages.

Why does my home page show up in search results instead of my target page for a specific keyword?
I am using Wordpress and am targeting a specific keyword..and am using Yoast SEO if that question comes up.. and I am at 100% as far as what they recommend for on page optimization. The target html page is a "POST" and not a "Page" using Wordpress definitions. Also, I am using this Pinterest style theme here http://pinclone.net/demo/ - which makes the post a sort of "pop-up" - but I started with a different theme and the results below were always the case..so I don't know if that is a factor or not. (I promise .. this is not a clever spammy attempt to promote their theme - in fact parts of it don't even work for me yet so I would not recommend it just yet...) I DO show up on the first page for my keyword.. however.. instead of Google showing the page www.mywebsite.com/this-is-my-targeted-keyword-page.htm Google shows www.mywebsite.com in the results instead. The problem being - if the traffic goes only to my home page.. they will be less likely to stay if they dont find what they want immediately and have to search for it.. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Multilingual sites: Canonical and Alternate tag implementation question
Hello, I would like some clarification about the correct implementation of the rel="alternate" tag and the canonical tag. The example given at http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=189077 recommends implementing the canonical tag on all region specific sub-domains, and have it point to the www version of the website Here's the example given by Google. My question is the following. Would this technique also apply if I have region specific sites site local TLD. In other words, if I have www.example.com, www.example.co.uk, www.example.ca – all with the same content in English, but prices and delivery options tailored for US, UK and Canada residents, should I go ahead and implement the canonical tag and alternate tag as follows: I am a bit concerned about canonicalizing an entire local TLD to the .com site.
