Sudden drop in direct visit?
-
I'm having a sudden drop in direct visit on 12th January by 50% and never go up again since then. I dont change anything in my website, just regular posting. Could someone give me any idea about this? Thank you

Is there an increase in other types of traffic? My first thought is that email marketing may have gotten tagged, and instead of links showing up as direct traffic they're now showing up in their own source area in analytics.
Also, look back to your older direct traffic and see if there was an artificial inflation. I had a site with this happen, and it turns out we were seeing direct traffic from a system uptime monitor. I looked at the network source, screen resolution, etc. and saw a lot of visits from seemingly identical systems.
Has there been any offline promotions that have ended, where people would stop typing in your URL?
Direct traffic could also come from email or twitter clients that don't pass referral strings. Did anything there change?

Branded terms CTR drop
Moz Hivemind, I'm working with an ecom beauty brand and retailer who re-platformed their website at the end of August last year. Their CTR dropped from 70% plus for branded terms to 50% over night and has steadily declined ever since, down to the low 30s as an average the last few months. Their rankings for branded terms have remained in the number 1 position, despite a slight blip at launch, which is to be expected. They admit that some new distribution deals with major retailers have added some competition to the mix, but much later in the year. I could totally understand a rankings drop and an initial hit, but has anyone seen anything like this before, is there something on the new site that could impact CTR like this, either in the SERPs or perhaps a reporting issue? As the click itself is taking place in the SERP and their rankings are solid, other than the meta description, which they swear was unchanged the first few months after launch, any ideas what could be happening here? Thanks so much.

Drop in Bounce Rate in Google Analytics
Hi guys, I have recently seen a large drop in bounce rate (from GA) which seems unnatural for one of our clients website. Since the start of 2018, the bounce rate was consistently between 40-60%, and then saw a random spike, and now for the past two weeks, the bounce rate is below 10%. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas if this is a problem with GA, or the site itself. Site: https://www.zoomocarcredit.com/ Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Jack. Mostly all new users What's strange is that the traffic is from a variety of cities and networks. What could be causing this? Has anyone experienced this before?0 -
Does Audience Overview in goole analytics contain visits from adwords.
Hi everyone I set up a new adwords account for a company and according to adwords we received 700 hits to the site but none showed up in analytics and no enquiries were made. Now the two accounts (adwords and analytics) weren't connected at the time but I should have been able to see the increased visits in analytics anyway as it was a very new site and had no real traffic yet. Someone at Google repeatedly told me that "Audience Overview" (unique visitors) doesn’t include adwords visits only organic traffic. Is this right? Maybe I'm wrong but I always thought it included everything well an estimation anyway. If anyone could help that would be great as it seems a little fishy. Many Thanks,

Large recent drop in "Domain Authority" and backlinks through OSE
Hello, I've noticed that our sites domain authority has dropped enormously this past week according to Open Site Explorer. It also shows us as having lost about half of our backlinks. Google webmaster tools doesn't show a corresponding drop in links and we haven't done anything to our domain recently. Anyone have any ideas what might have happened? Our site is at: http://www.GoldMaxUSA.com Thanks!

How can I manually add the correct Google Analytics data in to my account? The two options I see on the drop-down are not the ones I want to select and I don't see a way to do it manually. Help!

Drastic keyword position drop from time to time
Hey guys, I'm having the following issue. My keyword position in SERP is usually 10-11 but sometimes (like once a month or so) it drops to like to position 46 or something of that kind. Why would that be happening and what can I do to avoid that stuff?

GA dropping source due to 3rd party checkout?
So I am trying to track ecommerce transactions on a Prostores site and GA is dropping the source because the checkout is on prostores domain instead of the store domain. All ecommerce transactions show a source of the actual website as a referral. I've read googles documentation on tracking across multiple domains but just can't quite get it right. Can anyone help me out? Here is my tracking code: ss:commentdo nothing</ss:comment>
