Low quality links for Amazon product page=high rank?

I am wondering if there would be any benefit in using low cost link building gigs off of fiverr and seoclerks for specific Amazon product pages.
The theory I have heard behind this is Amazon's authority is so high, that even the bad links pointing to the specific product page add to the SEO of the page. When google see's a product page on Amazon, they already assign it a high authority, so links help google see which page is the most popular in that niche, and ranks it.
Amazon product pages already rank high in google search results, so the idea is this would give specific pages a little boost.
Do you think this is a valid method for getting a specific amazon product page to rank high on google search?
I understand this is not the normal type of question here, and it really only applies to Amazon product pages specifically, and not normal sites.

Reputation and product ratings is top notch, sessions (Amazon's way of saying unique visitors in a 24 hour time) is low, and it is dramatically fallen off with one of our competitors coming from out of no where. It appears the only difference is they have a bunch of low quality links to their product page, which seems to have resulted their specific product page being the #1 result in google.
It's a pretty competitive keyword, nearly 50 million broad results and 8 million exact matches.

While I can't endorse the tactic, SEOs have been doing it for many years on various "parasite" domains, as well as for laundering sub-par links through another site that links to them.
On the other hand, I would put my efforts toward improving my reputation on Amazon if I had the choice (though maybe you're doing both). What would help way more than sub-par external links would be more internal links from other Amazon.com pages to your product page, seller page, etc... You get those by having a good reputation, getting good reviews, competitive prices, etc...

This is definitely grey hat territory. I haven't tried this specific tactic myself, but it could potentially work. The only way to know for sure is to test it. At worst you'll be down $5-$10 from fiverr gigs. At best, you could be making some nice sales over Amazon.

Page Authority or Domain Auothority? Which one is more importan when having an external link pointing to your page?
Im about to make a deal with another site. We are going to exchange some links from some blog posts. In order to make a fair deal, I assessed some metrics for our posts. Basically, this site have better Domain Authority than my site (30 vs 25), but the page authority of their blog post in which they want to insert their links pointing to my site is 1 for each of them. On the other hand, the page authority of my blog posts they are interested in is 13. My dilema is about being resonable to set a good deal for both of us. So, my question is, which one matters the most when it comes to external links? page authority or domain authority? My intuition is that I’m in a better position than my counterpart. Thanks.

Links from PRWeb press release violate Google's quality guidelines?
My site has had a manual action performed on it by Google indicating that I have inbound links that fall outside of their quality guidelines. I did my own research, found what I thought was the issue, had the links removed and requested reconsideration. Google's response surprised me in that they highlighted two specific pages with links that were the direct result of valid press releases and a publisher picking up our release off a wire service. Has anyone else seen this occur? Anyone had a case successfully reconsidered? I realize that I don't need to do anything at all as the manual action is in effect and will stay that way, discounting those links, but I would rather a) not have any manual action against my site and b) know for the future so this doesn't happen again. Also, is this applicable for guest blog posts, which effectively create the same type of backlinks? Thanks

Low Ranking Mystery
Hello fellow MOZzers..! I am fairly new to this community but have been working on my SEO skills for a while.. I have created over 20 websites for myself and various clients, and all of them are doing fairly well ranking n.1 for their targeted keywords... except 1 WEBSITE THAT IS BECOMING A ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT! The website is www.dancepartycentral.co.uk and this is why it's a mystery to me: The on-site SEO seems to be on point (getting an A on page-grader for desired keywords) "Dance Party" does not seem to be too much of a competitive keyword Many of the other competitors do not seem to have very professional websites (apart from 3 or 4) or that have as much targeted content for the relevant keywords I have over relevant 20 sites and industry directories for Entertainers that are linking to the site (even though not all of them are appearing on page crawls) Please keep in mind this site has been created using webs.com so I have little control over the coding I seem to only be getting a 6.5% TXT/HTML ratio even though the site is made up mostly of original content This business highly relies on organic SEO searches and as my site is not ranking in the top 50, it's become a bit of a head-scratcher for me.. if anyone is kind enough to help me shed some light on the problem and how I can resolve this, I would be eternally grateful! While link building, should I link to index page of my website i.e www.mydomainname.com/index.html or should I link to root domain i.e www.mydomainname,com Also I see duplicate title error for index page and root domain in error statistic. How can I get rid of this.
