Whoa 1000's of links from Industrial Interface?
-
Hello all!
I just took over an account, and in webmater tools the site has thousands of links to its homepage from a site named http://www.industrialinterface.com. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing. (thinking bad)
Tried to contact the webmaster, and the contact form does not work, so that right there is a bad sign.
Does anyone have an opinion on industrial interface? Anyone have luck in reaching them?
Appreciate the feedback!
Dorian

Doing a site audit, so thanks for the input. I think that the site was hit with Panda, there is a ton of duplicate content due to dymanic generation from secured login pages. Where is the no index no follow tags? Yea, they did not exist....
The site dropped like a stone around the 21st, so that is a clue.
Plus, I think the content is somewhat thin
E-commerce sites trying to keep all the pics above the fold.
Much work to be done!

According to their whois record, the contact should be domains@industrialinterface.com. Might want to try giving that a shot. If you google "* @ industrialinterface.com" you can find more contacts as well.
The actual site seems like it has fairly high domain authority. Unless you're being slapped with Penguin or getting link warnings in GWT, it's probably not worth worrying about.

Any benefits to having Wikipedia links now they are 'no-followed' (apart from traffic and natural link prof.)
I see that Wikipedia outbound links are all no-followed, is there any benefit (aside from the traffic) for having links here now ? For example is their co-citation and co-occurance benefits. I know there is without the links since from seeing previous Moz content about this saying Google getting good at connecting brand/s and topic mentions on a page (without any links) so appreciate Wikipedia is still good for that sort of thing. And a no-followed link is obviously good for the potential traffic. But is there any additional SEO benefit to having a no followed link on a wikipedia entry/stub too ? (aside from its contribution to your no-followed links which in turn contribute to a natural looking link profile) Cheers Dan

Total Links vs Google Webmaster Site Links
I am interested why the numbers between SEOmoz and Google are so different. In SEOmoz we only show 17,000ish links from 190ish domains. In Google, we show 200,000+ links from 370 domains. Why is there such a dramatic difference?

Link value
Hi I have some links from blogs to our ecom website. My question is if anyone knows what happens if you have several different blogs on .blogspot linking in to you. Does that make them loose value because they are on the same domain? I can probably quite easily have 5-10 blogs on blogspot all with PA of 35-40 link in to us. Is it worth striving for or should i strive to get blogs that have their own domain to link into us instead ? Or equally important ? Dan Lærum

Link values
I have an interesting question, it's more to see other peoples opinions than looking for an exact answer, as I know noone can give that. If you had a good link on harvard.edu.. how many very low quality links on low DA domains that are full of junk, would you need to match the harvard link... if all other factors were equal. I'm gonna go for 500.. I've had great results with a few high DA/trust links. I'm not looking for anyone to give me a definative answer, just curious as to the views of other SEOs 😄

Value of Inbound Links to Pages With a lot of Outbound Links
Suppose you have a resource page of the Top 50 Awesome Sites in your niche. Since there are about 50 outbound links, then I would think there will be less Page Rank being passed to internal pages from internal links on the resource page. Since you are getting less PR passed to internal pages, are there other ways the inbound links can be beneficial, such as increasing the diversity of links of your domain? Sites like SEO Optimise seem to create a lot of Top 30 Resources lists and I have read that they think it is a strong tactic.
