My eCommerce site is: http://www.furnacefilterscanada.com to provide informations a create links for SEO, i launch http://www.furnacefilterscanada.info/ over WordPress.
After ready the new SEOmoz book, I realize .info is not a TopDomainName and it might be see has spam.
What do you thing? Should I keep the domain spend time on this blog or should I go a buy a new domain? Since I learn it this, my blog was lauch, but i didn't post on it, I'm affraid I will loos time.
Thank you for your advice and recommendations,

You can see the SEOmoz opinon on microsites in this whiteboard friday - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/whiteboard-friday-the-microsite-mistake
Unless you're looking to take up SERP real estate on exact match "Furnace Filters Canada" I would put the blog on /news (or /blog, /updates, etc) and you can still install a copy of the WP software (I assume you've gone the self host route?) in just that folder.
If you are looking to take up real estate I would still have the blog in a subfolder, and use the .info to either give info on furnace filters or info about your company.
While .info domains have traditionally been seen as spammy (due to their low cost) I don't believe they are treated significantly differently to any other gTLD if you provide a quality site.

I agree with EGOL, setup the blog on the .com domain and begin posting to it. A blog is ideally the center of your social media campaign. Create a facebook page and twiiter account and spend time trying to create relationships with people in your industry and potential customers and ultimately use these social media platofmrs to bring traffic back to your blog and your site.

I would locate the blog in a folder on my main site.
Placing the blog on a satellite domain will not give you real link value unless that blog gets some links from outside of your network of sites. And, if it attracts those links they would be more valuable to your main website if they hit the blog in a folder on your main site.
Lots of people think that they can toss up a blog or a hundred blogs for the purpose of manufacturing links... but that is a waste of time. The links are nearly worthless.

Simple Blog Content Question
Which is better? To write my own blog post or, (with permission) use other high DA content on my blog. I'll probably do both, but I'm very curious as to what the search engines prefer or which is better for seo. Thanks in advance!

Blog Content if Google has stated it doesn't like your blog?
Hi guys, In the new 'mobile usability' tab in Webmaster Tools, Google has stated that our blog isn't offering a good experience for users. Something we already knew and I want to change, but I can't get the budget approved to complete the work. I was just wondering if you think Google isn't going to hold my content very high as a result. I want to produce more content on our blog around our valuable keywords in hope to improve our rankings, but if Google isn't holding our site in high regard I'm thinking there may not be much point in it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Brian

Best Way to Manage Multiple Blogs
Good Morning... I have multiple blogs that all relate to the same industry and products... The blogs all have unique content, they do not have duplicate content... Is there a way to share the information or link from one to the other without being seen as someone trying to manipulate anything? The goal is to keep each blog updated frequently, but I can only write so much unique content... can i somehow share the content? Please provide any feedback or advice... Thanks

Promoting external blogs on our own
From time to time we're promoting blog posts written by our employees on their external blogs (separate domains) to our official company blog. This happens when the content is valuable for our visitors and it's worth to be shared. The post is copied in its entirety and we add the sentence This post was originally published on <external blog="" post="" link="">at the top. Will this be considered duplicate content? Should we add anything else to the republished blog post? Thanks!</external>

A Blogs appearance
What are peoples opinions on a blog and its appearance in relation to a site. The two ways being - 1. A Blog that is fully fitting within the theme of the main website. 2. A seperate entity following a standard wordpress theme Now I have seen many different scenarios and I wanted to share some experiences and gain insight from other people on here. I once spoke to a web designer who totally frowned upon the idea of it being a separate entity. "It looks cheap it doesn't fit within the design" My thoughts are benefits can been found with having a separate looking blog it provides that realistic "student" type look and feel adding a "realistic" angle. Thanks for your opinions,
