Competitiors high Pinterest page authority doesnt make sense to me

I have seen that a competitor has a link from Pinterest as does the site I am promoting but the competitors page authority on their Pinterest page is 51 versus mine at just 1. Have checked the backlinks to their Pinterest page and there are 156 sitewide links all from the competitors own domain which has DA of 17. Their Pinterest page wasn't published that long ago, has 2 followers and just a handful of pins.
Could I get some help to understand what could be the cause of this higher page authority please?

Ok I see, I do have a few links going to it so I guess it's just a delay on OSE.

It's possible that your Pinterest page just hasn't been crawled by OSE yet, if your PA is only 1. Does your Pinterest page have any incoming links? That will help your Pinterest page get indexed by Google & OSE.

I just came across a website which I'm working on. As we know DA & PA directly related to each other. I'm building organic links through last year and the result is so odd !
As you see in Pic 1, number of linking domains is naturally increasing. But in Pic 2 DA gets negative impact through this process and decreases!
How are they related anyway? Can anyone helps?

How to identify spammy website before making backlinks on them
Hi, I search in google but didnt find a proper answer for this! maybe search an incorrect keyword! The question is, How can I find out a website that I'm going to make a backlink on is a spammy website? For example I did this guest bloging on this good website: Best Sure-Shot Organic Pest Control Approaches Every Gardener Should Know | Balcony Garden Web But it seems to be spammy because I use SEO POWERSUIT software that shows this backlink is 20% risk of google penalty! Is it right!? So how can we rest assured for making a quality backlink? I can not think any other way 😞

Has anyone seen a recent drop in Page Authority?
We have seen a sizeable drop in Page Authority for three of our key category pages over the last one week.The total number of linking root domains has increased for all the three pages. We have disavowed a few spammy links but we doubt that would cause a drop in page authority. The domain authority is unchanged.Is there any way we could figure out the cause of the drop? Has anyone else also noticed a drop in page authority for their pages? Just a thought. With the way pagerank works and passing link juice evenly across all your links. Would it make sense to structure your site so that each page passes your all your link juice from lets say your homepage to another page. Then that page would contain all the link juice from the homepage. Then do the same thing with the next pages. For instance Homepage - linkjuice 10 link1 - follow link2 rel=nofollow link3 rel=nofollow link4 rel=nofollow link5 rel=nofollow Link1 - linkjuice 10 link1 rel=nofollow link2 - follow link3 rel=nofollow link4 rel=nofollow link5 rel=nofollow Link2 - linkjuice 10 link1 rel=nofollow link2 rel-nofollow link3 - follow link4 rel=nofollow link5 rel=nofollow Link3 - linkjuice 10 link1 rel=nofollow link2 rel-nofollow link3 rel=nofollow link4 - follow link5 rel=nofollow Link4 - linkjuice 10 link1 rel=nofollow link2 rel-nofollow link3 rel=nofollow link4 rel=nofollow link5 - follow and so on. Should I work on links to a specific page or site in general?

Targeting high Page Authority sites vs high Pagerank sites for backlinks?
For many years I've been working on seo/backlinks for my website. When doing analysis in opensiteexplorer I notice that the highest listed backlinks for my site are sites with high page authority and domain authority, rather than pagerank. For example one of the highest backlinks for my website has page authority/domain authority of 72/96 but the site itself is only a PR2, while my other backlinks have PR4, 5, or 6 with lower page authority. For a while I've been trying to partner with websites for backlinks from high pagerank sites, as I've always believed this is the #1 metric in relaying link juice. But OSE's metrics seem to not follow that train of thought -- it believes page authority/domain authority is a more important measure. Is it? Should I change my strategy to try to partner with websites that have high page authority rather than focusing so much on pagerank?

Minimum desired for Domain Authority and Page Authority
I see messages and threads talking about the less importance on PageRank and more importance on Domain Authority and Page Authority. As I work on our link building, do I steer away from low DA and PA websites? If so, whats the minimum threshold I should stay away from? If I see a site that has a Domain Authority as low as 9 - is that the minimum? What is? What do you think?
