Does Google and other web crawlers follow through HTML forms?
-
Has anyone read or heard anything about this? I'm trying to decide if it's necessary to spell out all form options as links as well?
Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be a real definitive answer to this question. back in 2008 Google talks about exploring new and improved ways to crawl pages including some HTML forms. It's been almost 5 years since then so I'm sure they're doing more than before. I would still however include some text links on pages if you're looking to send web crawlers there. Also make sure that you have a solid sitemap to help the crawlers find your content on these pages.

Connecting Two Websites Without Upsetting Google
I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but want to cover my bases. We have a successful blog and are creating a second similar blog for a more specific type of reader. We want to backlink between content because it makes sense for the reader. Our fear is that we may come off spammy to Google by having so many backlinks. Is there a way we are able to tell Google these two sites are related so they don't penalize either site for anything?

Can internal links cause Google to penalize me for key terms/phrases?
For example, having a link on many pages (so dozens of links in total) using a product name, all pointing to that product page. Could Google see that as "spammy" and penalize that product page in the SERP's? Note: My product page has been penalized for the search term "Product Name" and there are no external links pointing that page using the product name as a term. This is new with the latest Panda Updates.

Followed links from one of our biggest channel?
Hi everyone, I have a new client that's a huge company and has a disastrous ranking. It's a Human Resources company that among other things, they post job offers on their site in which people have to register to apply. As a channel to outreach more people, they are using a popular site for job offers on the country. There, the job position is described and they tell users to apply within this channel or on their own site. But there's no actual link to their site. Will Google find it spammy to post their site's link for that specific job offer on this channel on every job description? No competitor is doing it so it made me doubt a little bit. NOTE: The job offer channel doesn't allow us to "nofollow" a link. All the links are followed. Thanks to any suggestion.

Why do hallmarks from web design companies carry so much ranking weight for the recipient website?
Website designers/developers place hallmarks (Website Designed by XXXX) in the footer region of the web sites they have designed/built, how much ranking value do these hallmarks have being that they're pointing from sites that are irrelevant to the web designer's, and why?

Http://domainame/brooklyn or http://domainame/brooklyn.html; is there a difference?
I understand that for SEO purposes you would use a 301 redirect, form either www. or no www., because SE's see them as two distinct sites and you are splitting your links; do SE's see extentions .html as two (2) sites also? for example: http://domainname/brooklyn or http://domainame/brooklyn.html. Are the search engines also treating them as two (2) sites? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, James

Can a reciprocal link turn into a one way if you no-follow?
If you create a list of links to top blogs in your industry but no-follow all the links, and they link to your list, will that count as a reciprical link or a one-way link by search engines?
