-
Hi,
quick question - has anyone ever used link building service called linkfool ? I was on another reputable seo information site and linkfool showed up, i checked it out and at the bottom site was an seomoz logo to insinuate partnership of some sort.
Anyway , if anyone has used this service, was it worth the investment

Hi, saw this post on my Google alerts and thought it might be helpful to respond.
Link building has a bad connotation thanks to spamming black hats, outspoken link critics, and a myriad of other players in the market. You can follow that advice and still be quite successful with your website. However, link building done properly can be a powerful tool for your website growth and will make building your brand online easier. You can do link building yourself or you can work with a company like ours to develop a clean and professional offsite reputation with valuable links.
As a business owner or marketer you will at some point want to mention your website online. This helps the search engines recognize the relevance of your site and the popularity of it. It's a powerful variable for your rankings and if done right should also drive quality referral traffic. There will always be some form of offsite ranking variable and at the end of the day that's what we strive to provide for our customers.
You don't need to take my word for it though. Take a look around the web for natural link building experts and you will find some of the most prominent SEOs such as Eric Ward (http://www.ericward.com/) who showcase the real power of link building.
Best Regards,
Patrick A.
PS - Irving, you're spot on regarding the potential downsides of improper link building. However "Any link building company is being flagged by Google these days" is false.
PPS - Keri, we've removed the logo. We are big fans of SEOmoz and use a variety of tools to regularly to help our customers. Our apologies for any confusion.

We don't have an association with them, and will be contacting them regarding this logo.

Any link building company is being flagged by Google these days. If you're doing link building it needs to be independent and one offs and not share the same profile as other paid linking customers which is what you would get with a link building company.

Guidelines for keyword-targeting and link building?
Hello, Every month, I set a goal of targeting 10 - 15 relevant keywords for my website. I then attempt to boost my site's rankings for these terms through a combination of content writing and white hat, non-paid link building. My question is: Are there general guidelines for keyword-targeting and backlinks? Is it healthy to target 10 - 15 different keywords (or more??) like this per month?

Link Detox and Link Removal
I have a question about which links to remove after running a link detox from Link Research Tools. First a little back story. I had had an SEO company link building for one of the websites I own. But I have recently stopped working with them. In the last month my rankings have near dropped off the charts. I have just recently gotten access to Google webmaster tools and noticed an unnatural link warning from back in March. So yesterday I ran link detox and it reported 19 toxic links, 120 suspicious links, and 24 healthy links. It's rather obvious that I should remove all of the toxic links. They all from sites that have been deindexed by google. But my question is a about the suspicious links. What should my criteria be for removing them? Am I better off removing them all and leaving my site with only 24 healthy links or should I personally comb through them and remove only the worst of the worst so that I leave my site with a few more links? I'd really like to get the site ready to resubmit to google as soon as I can. Thoughts? yyCOf.png

Link Building Strategy - Please Give Feedback
Hi, I"m moving forward with link building for nlpca(dot)com and here's my plan I know my industry, keywords, and this site very well so I'll start by: Analyze Top content for top 10 competitors and see where the links are currently going. I'm assuming a competitor is someone similar to me and not sites like wikipedia in this case Make a spreadsheet for all of the worthwhile links that I find by using OSE and the top 10 competitors, places where if we're good enough we can get a link on that page. See what they're linking to Use (1) and (2) to discover what stelllar targeted content to build Use infographics, a blog, and articles to build targeted content to request a link from the people in (2) building out facebook, twitter, and Google +1 for the site is coming too. Your thoughts? I'm completely open to improvements via feedback.
