SEO Moz Rank Report
-
Anyone else noticing the rank reporting seems to be off? My reports are showing "not in top 50" for some keywords that my site is on page one for. Not in places listings either because I know that can throw things off! Anyone?

Perfect
Let me know if there's anything else you need. Have a great day!

Just tried again and got it to work!
Thanks again!

Anytime!
The root domain for you would be comprehensiveobgyn.net. It also sounds like there may have been a temporary server issue at the time you tried to create the campaign. You'll usually only see this message if we get a 5XX response from a sites server when we're trying to validate the address.
I just ran a quick curl and got a 200 ok. I was also able to set up a campaign ok on my end. Can you try to create the campaign one more time for me? If you run into another error, I'll forward this into support so we can take a deeper look at this for you.
Best,
Sam

Hey Scott, nope that wasn't our site. The one I'm talking about is for Comprehensive OBGYN of the Palm Beaches

Hey Sam!
Thanks for the help! My root domain is just "comprehensiveobgyn.net" correct? When I try to enter that, it gives me an error code

Ricky,
Here's a screenshot of what I see when doing a Google search for that keyword you provided: http://scott.offord.me/NgRz
I see that your homepage text is copied from another site (or someone else copied your text):
http://scott.offord.me/Ng5v
http://scott.offord.me/NgRLUnrelated, but if this is your site, I see you still have the hello-world blog post visible to the public. Screenshot: http://scott.offord.me/Nft0

Hi Ricky!
So there are a couple things to discuss here. The main one is that you're campaign is set to track your subdomain, but you have a 301 redirect from your sub to your root domain. You're also ranking on your root domain. This is going to potentially throw off your results since we're looking as how a given keyword is ranking based on the campaign (in this case, sub) domain.
Looking at the search results from Safari set in private browsing for the keyword - west palm beach gynecologist - (I didn't see west palm beach obgyn in the campaign), confirms this as we're showing not in the top 50, but I found your domain in position 7.
Universal results (places, images, videos, etc) shouldn't throw off your rankings either as they're listed separately on the rankings page of your campaigns.
I recommend setting up a new campaign with the root domain in your case. You can archive your existing one to save the historical content in case you ever need to revisit it. Thanks!
Sam

For instance "west palm beach obgyn" is one of our keywords. The rank report shows us not in top 50 or in local. However, if you search that keyword you will find our site on page 1

I know you are not talking about maps results, but are there terms you are looking at specificially that have a local/city name in them, or are they non local oriented keywords?

How do I combat title tag issues in Moz because of long company/site name? [Currently using Yoast SEO Plugin]
I've only just started to dip my toe into the SEO pool, so please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've been working heavily in the Moz tool and the Yoast SEO plugin to clean up the meta descriptions on our site, as there were many pages without descriptions in place (we just transferred from a different CMS to Wordpress within the last month or so). Now I'm noticing on our Site Crawl that we have 60+ pages that have title elements that are considered too long. When I go in to fix these issues on our blog posts (as this is where most of the issues lie), Yoast is already giving me the green light on the title lengths. I've discovered that the reason why Moz is telling us that many of our site lengths are too long is because "| Parker Staffing Services" is added to the end of our title tags automatically. Deep breath Now that you've heard all of the backstory... Is there a way that I can prevent that site title (which is 26 characters all by itself! Talk about limiting!) from displaying on search engines when our blog posts or pages show up in search results? I've poked around in the Titles & Metas settings that come with Yoast, but I fear making too many changes will result in me screwing something up. Help an SEO beginner out? 🙂

List ranking analysis for all keywords?
I would love to see the option of having the ranking analysis listed for all my keywords! As it it now I have to click and get the numbers one by one and manually create a spreadsheet in order to have an overview of which keywords to pursue. I want to see my google ranking for each keyword next to information on how many people search for that term (in my country of choice - google.xxx) and the keyword competition in % Please tell me there's a way to do this and save me a truckload of time!

Why are the rankings of my keywords different to rankings from other programmes such as 'Access my Lan' and 'Firefly'? Does SEOMoz count 'Google Places and Maps' in their rank count? Im thinking this could explain the difference

Conflicting Data with Open Site Explorer & SEO Moz Toolbar
Hi there, Why is my SEOmoz toolbar showing me higher linking root domains than open site explorer? For example, for this site: http://thisisouryear.com/, the linking root domains in SEOMOZ show 1,015 and in open site explorer it says it has 35. I have noticed this for other sites as well. Which one is right? And why are they different?

Is it possible to see rankings on a graph?
Would it be possible to display Ranking data on a graph to show progress over a period of time? It would be great to be able to show a client how a certain keyword has improved over a time period.

Is there a problem with Weekly Ranking report this week?
I just received my weekly ranking report. 2 Up, 0 down, 8 the same this week. However, last week my page was #2 for "innovation conference" and this week you report "not in top 50." My first thought was penalty, but when I searched and removed personalization, we were still #2 for that search query. So, something must be wrong with the report - either we're 1 down or "not in the top 50 is wrong."
