Meta Description Question
-
Hi,
Lets say you have a 1000 pages, is it ok to generate a template meta description and flip the keywords depending on the page?
For example:
Red Shoes page: Buy Red Shoes at amazing prices. We have a large range of Red Shoe sizes available.
Blue Shoes page: Buy Blue Shoes at amazing prices. We have a large range of Blue Shoe sizes available.
Thoughts?

Depending on the amount of pages you have on your website depends on the way in which you should look at generating your meta descriptions.
If possible and ideally every page should have a completely unique page title and description.
Obviously, if your website has thousands of pages and products then you might find that an auto generated title and description is necessary for the "parent" product and then a variation of for the "child" products as you stated above, this should not really be used for a search engine ranking however if they are just product variants you would only SEO the lead or parent product and have the variants removed from the search engine crawls to prevent duplication.
This is how all major e-commerce platforms work and why Magento and even the likes of Amazon operate to avoid duplication of data.
Basically they create a master / lead / parent product and "no follow" all of the child products.
Hope this helps.

I would suggest not going down that route unless totally necessary - it does depend on the number of products using the same "template" in all honesty

Should I include my company entity in meta description? (for ex. LLC. Inc.)
I'm re-writing my meta descriptions. I'm wondering if I should include the My Company, LLC. in the description or just My Company. Taking out the entity would save about 4 characters.

Home page optimisation question - Expanding box
Hi guys, I was wandering if anyone can help me on how google looks at expanding boxes now? What I am referring to is on our home page orderblinds.co.uk we have an article written which shows a taster of the information about the company, the user then has to click read more to expand the box and see the rest of the content. Is this bad for seo as when you view the html all the content is there but I'm sure google can work out that this text isn't visible until you click read more? Any feedback on this subject would be great,

Whats wrong with meta title? In SERP it looks different.
Hi, can someone tell me why my meta titles looks different in SERP? I use Prestashop CMS and meta title in many pages looks similair to this one: Puodų Rinkiniai | Puodai | Iki -40% Akcija | ŠefoSvajonė.lt And in SERP it looks like this: Puodų Rinkiniai - sefosvajone.lt. sefosvajone.lt Why can this be? Its freshly indexed. Rather than set Meta Title text it shows just name of the Product or Category and then shops adress twice or sometimes once. Thanks!

New website launch - Dupilicate content question
Hi, We are going to be launching a US version of our UK E-commerce web store. The US version will be a standalone site, separate URL/hosting etc. My question is that the US website will carry the same products as the UK site - will the product copy have to be written differently for the US website in order to avoid any SEO duplicate copy? Thanks

Title tag questions
General title tag questions how important is it not to change your title tag, I own a prom dress site and I'm always changing them between prom and homecoming' Is it bad to have title tags that are only different by one word across thousands of pages on your site. I have thousands of dresses so each title tag only varies by the style # I have always had title tags that are for example black prom dresses, well i recently discovered that just black dresses is googled 10 times the amount so im debating changing them to black dresses so that the word dresses is closer to the front of the title tag, am I over reacting or is that a good idea or would it be bad to put black dresses, black prom dresses, black homecoming dresses I also put the year in almost every title tag 2012, is that bad, I ranked great for 2012 stuff but could it hurt my homepage domain rankings on major broader keywords

How many meta tags are appropriate?
How many meta tags are appropriate? There is a page that ranks above me that has many more than I do. It has (I have removed the content of each to give a description of the type of content): I only use meta tags for keywords and description, robots. Should I have more? Thanks.
