Linkscape API Sort calls
-
I'm using Linkscape API plugin from SEO Gadget. It's all fine but I can't find any documentation on other 'sort' calls. The only request that I knows that works is "domains_linking_page".
Any idea where this information is? I was hoping for a list of all the available requests I can and more particularly I want to sort it by Internal Linking Domains.

Hi there,
Thanks for writing in! I am sorry that you had some trouble finding the documentation for our Sort calls. We are in the process of updating and creating new documentations for the API I think you will be happy with. In the meantime you should be able to find the documentations under: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/link-metrics
Hope that helps!
Best,
Peter

Followerwonk API (401 Unauthorized)
I am trying to use the Followerwonk api and I have changed the C# code from the MozscapeAPI code here for it to work as it uses the same encryption etc. https://github.com/QueryClick/MozscapeAPI The problem I am having is that I generate the correct link but I still get back 401 Unauthorized from Followerwonk it works fine on Mozscape API. https://api.followerwonk.com/social-authority/?screen_name=maximillion195;AccessID=member-NWQyZTI1M2EtMWUyZC01NDJhLThmZW;Timestamp=1368030369;Signature=PxK24AP7cgXMMVhzrU8NSRtSI%3D (I have changed the member ID and Signature) The Link looks right and it defiantly hashes it correctly and the timestamp is set for 20 minutes in the future, Can anyone explain why this is not working. Thanks

I'm putting the following into my browser: http://[member-ID]:[secret key]@lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/url-metrics/greatbritishchefs.com According to the blog posts I'm reading I should get loads of json script returned but all I'm getting is {} Does anybody have any pointers as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks

API Request Rate Problem
Hi there A Java app of mine worked perfectly until recently, when it gets "rate exceeds your current plan" errors from the API, although it does only 1 request in 10 seconds. Any idea what's wrong? Cheers, Chris

Last Linkscape index update: 05/30/2012
When will the next Linkscape index update occur? I've been waiting to run our backlink profile numbers, but the Last Linkscape index update was 05/30/2012? Thanks!

Last Linkscape Update?
Has anyone seen their competitive link analysis update in the last 2 weeks? My campaign summary says the last linkscape update was on the 21st Dec but the data is still showing from November. Looking in the full analysis section especially the timeline confirms that it is only going up to November. OSE also seems to show the old data.

A suggestion to help with linkscape crawling and data processing
Since you guys are understandably struggling with crawling and processing the sheer number of URLs and links, I came up with this idea: In a similar way to how SETI@Home (is that still a thing? Google says yes: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/) works, could SEOmoz use distributed computing amongst SEO moz users to help with the data processing? Would people be happy to offer up their idle processor time and (optionally) internet connections to get more accurate, broader data? Are there enough users of the data to make distributed computing worthwhile? Perhaps those who crunched the most data each month could receive moz points or a free month of Pro. I have submitted this as a suggestion here:

Help with SEOmoz API
Hi guys, I'm trying to make API requests from my webserver via PHP. I'd like to retrieve data from the SEOmoz URL Metrics API. Unfortunately I always get the error response "unauthorized" even when I copy and paste the Sample Valid API Signature generated by your system into the browser. Is Signed Authentication not longer supported? I even tried the sample PHP Code SignedAuth.php but there's the same problem, too. If signed authentication is not longer available, do you have a code example for the basic http authorization? Thanks, Brandon
